Christianity under fire!

And jewish kids are let out of regularly scheduled school days for their religious holidays. For Christians they close the entire school system down for their religious holidays.

And no one is forced to participate in the muslim prayers. No state paid employee is leading them.

When they come for you, you will go willingly

What makes you think I do not contribute to British forums..and Chinese, come to that. How about you my little picket fence bound fool?
I certainly am not superior anywhere but here, but a cockroach could show you the way home.

You don't contribute to this one, why should we expect you to contribute to anything

It is a proven fact that there is not enough water on the planet to flood the entire planet.

It is a fact that there were other cultures when God supposedly stopped the rotation of the earth to allow a battle to be completed. I am sure they would have noticed it, not to mention the change in gravity, and the legends would have been passed down.

You cannot human limits on the Creator, he is not held by time or nature he created time an nature

That is a nice cop-out. But if the sun stood still in the sky, that means the earth stopped rotating. That means the day (or night) would have been longer and gravity would have been different. There would be evidence of that.

so you can't find it credible that a deity that could create time would be able to make it appear to stop without cracking a few eggs?......

if time was abated the sun would appear to have stood still to an observer......that would not have required stopping the rotation of the earth.....

And God could have simply blanked the memories of every other person in every other culture so that it was never mentioned or remembered?

Or God could have simply put a very bright light above the battlefield so they THOUGHT the sun stood still. But taking that as fact is ignoring reality.

ah, which one is the reality being ignored?.......

time just stood still here.....I edited my post before you quoted it, so my post doesn't say "Last edited by"....yet your quote is what I changed it from......meanwhile, Watermark was hurled into space.......

No. It's a sop to the religious right and part of the tradition. Tradition is important for the comfort of the masses.
Its bad enough that half of America thinks he is a Kenyan Muslim, he's be bloody stupid to say or do anything to fuel their ignorance.
The aforesaid not withstanding, a respect for the 'establishment' of religion does not presuppose agreement with its teachings.
You can't pray to the Christian God, but you certainly can take an oath on his holy book? I'm sorry, but that isn't logical.

The argument was that the Bible is factual unless proven otherwise. If the proof is "God could stop time", there is, of course, no proof. Just like the argument that God could have created more water for the flood and then made it disappear again after. That is not proof. That is wild supposition.
