Chuck Todd: ‘I Don’t Understand How Bernie’s Considered a Frontrunner’

most americans agree with the mixed model.

And I do too. You won't see me advocating for State run pizza shops. But the problem is regulatory capture and other lobbyist efforts means the metaphorical referee of the marketplace has been corrupted. Americans didn't agree to that.

You're not the first guy on this website with that point, and I'll ask you what I asked the other ass-hat: Prove it.

Really, prove how much public spending, in this case healthcare, i actually going to illegals. Give me a ball park estimate.

dems want to pass new laws decriminalizing border crossings, and giving illegals free health care; current numbers will not reflect the awfulness of those ideas.

Responsible people that provide for themselves aren't satisfied with irresponsible people that think someone else should do it for them.

Well tell that to the millions of old, sick, and poor people in the country because they keep on cashing those checks. But hey it's easy to scream at poor people as 'lazy' they have no power. But talk about corporate welfare queens like Wal-Mart and suddenly the conversation turns ugly. https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/a...mcdonald-s-and-wal-mart-became-welfare-queens

The term "investment" was used when the "free college" plans are proposed. When a kid's parents don't think their own child is worth the "investment" when it comes to college, you can't convince me that I should consider THEIR kid a good investment.

There could also be trade schools my dude. Not all education spending would be towards the academia you fear ruined a generation of students.

the walmart thing is wrong. and yes, people like their checks, but full rides for illegals will always be too far. globalism is dying, as it should.

At least you admit they're irresponsible for not doing for themselves.

Someone that refuses to do for him/herself and his/her family with the basics is a lazy POS.

No such thing as corporate welfare. Walmart paying people what their skills are worth then those employees being unable to support themselves isn't Walmart's fault. Walmart is paying an fair wage based on level of skills. That people can't make it despite being paid properly is their fault.

Call it what you want. If a parent doesn't deem their own child as worthy of an "investment", I agree with them. I'm still not convinced the kid is until his/her parent(s) prove it to me.

this past 4-5 years have all been about globalism, but people don't want to admit it, and are trying to sneak it in under the heading of other issues.

Hello Cinnabar,

You can try to fix corruption from the top down but I believe it really needs to be from the bottom up.

We need to pass the Anti-Corruption Act in cities, towns, counties and states. Then we send anti-corruption legislators to DC. When a majority has been established in DC the swamp is largely drained and we can pass the Anti-Corruption Act at the federal level.

It has already passed in many places, including the capital of Florida, Tallahassee.

Agreed but we have so called representatives and candidates not calling it out. I find that egregious being its the biggest threat to Democracy, justice and equality. If one refuses to acknowledge it, they will not do anything to fix it.

Oh I see, this is the nature of your misinterpretation. So how do I put this .. there's already a portion of your tax dollars going to pay for the treatment of sick and injured people who don't have health insurance. Not all of them are illegal immigrants.

In the case of emergencies it is in fact against the law to deny to treatment - to anyone regardless of citizenship status. To say there would be no funding for illegal immigrants would be like saying if an illegal immigrant went to a hospital with a fatal condition that hospital could refuse treatment, based on inability to prove citizenship, causing the person to die.

Don't worry, the racist right will make sure bernie doesn't get the nomination with the help of moderate dems.

Wrong again; hard to fathom how you go through life being so wrong all the time. The RNC would love to see Bernie win it.

My question is, if Bernie doesn't win the democratic nomination will his followers still bother to vote?!!

If they see the process as unfair and cheating like last time; many of them will stay home. They are Marxist idealists who have been indoctrinated by our leftist educational establishment to ignorantly believe that Government is good and liberties are bad. ;)

Walmart pays what they deem is a wage equivalent to the skills required to do the job. If someone working at Walmart can't make it with that skill equivalent wage, that isn't Walmart's fault. It's not the responsibility of the employer to pay someone based on their personal situation but on what the employee offers in the way of skills to do the job.

Nobody wants 4 more years of Trump. Whoever gets the most Votes and is the Nominee, will be getting everyone's support.
(Now, if Bloomberg buys his way into a brokered Convention, you might see people throw up their hands and ask "What's the difference?")

Wow; you really are wallowing in denial and ignorance. Nobody wants him? I guess you haven't seen the massive crowds he attracts to his campaign events.

fuck that. walmart tells their people to go get on food stamps. that's taxpayers subsidizing walmart, straight up. straight up fascism. internationalist fascism.
