Hello, my name is Cindy Sheehan and my son Casey Sheehan was killed on April 04, 2004 in Sadr City , Baghdad , Iraq . He was killed when the Republicans still were in control of Congress. Naively, I set off on my tireless campaign calling on Congress to rescind George’s authority to wage his war of terror while asking him "for what noble cause" did Casey and thousands of other have to die. Now, with Democrats in control of Congress, I have lost my optimistic naiveté and have become cynically pessimistic as I see you all caving into as one Daily Kos poster called: "Mr. 28%"

Although Patrick Sheehan filed for divorce a week after Cindy Sheehan set up her tent near President Bush's Texas ranch, she states that she and her husband were already separated due to the stress from the death of their son, Specialist Casey Sheehan, who died in an ambush at Sadr City, Iraq in 2004.

Patrick and Cindy Sheehan met in high school and have been married for 28 years. The divorce petition citing "irreconcilable differencs" was filed at Solano County court on August 12, 2005.

Their marriage broke up after the death of their son, had nothing to do with her activities, and her other kids are not ashamed of her, in fact, her daughter works very closely with her within the peace movement.

I know the woman. I'm not spinning anything, you are posting right wing lies. Many marriages break up after the death of a child.

And the disgusting lie that her children are ashamed of her is proved to be a lie by the fact that her daughter is active with her. You're a liar. Whether or not you know you're a liar, is irrelevant, because you don't care whether or not you're a liar, you care only about besmirching someone you don't know, and don't know anything about.

Now, explain to me how her children could have disowned her, want nothing to do with her, and be ashamed of her, when her daughter works with her in the peace movement. I'll check back tomorrow or Tuesday to see what you can pull our of your ass to explain that one.

Excuse me, they are not "her family". That letter was written by her ex- sister-in-law.

Cindy's actual family, supports her. I see that as a typical repuke, you are going to completely pretend that you never told the lie that "cindy's children want nothing to do with her and are ashamed of her. Caught out in a lie, you deflect and turn to something else.

It is my understanding that he does not support bush or this war, but that the marriage denegrated under the strain of the loss of their son, and some disagreement over the additional strain the publicity Cindy's protesting was getting for both of them. He wanted to be left alone with his grief; he wanted to withdraw. He does not disagree with her sentiments. This is what she personally has said to me. It would certainly explain why he has not attacked this woman, you claim he is disgusted with, publically. I don't know all of the details of her divorce, certainly not as much as you or Matt Drudge, both big confidents of her would know. Nor would I ever ask. I know only what she has offered.

It sickens me that you people are compelled to tell the most disgusting lies about a woman who lost her son in a war you freaking blood-thirsty mongers started but wouldn't fight. You are diseased people, who deny the very humanity of anyone who disagrees with you. You are sick in your minds, in your hearts, and in your souls.

And you pretend to memorialize the dead. But many of those dead, Casey included according to his mother, WHO KNEW HIM, unlike you, did not support this war. And many returning do not support this war. And as evidenced on the front pages of several newspapers today, many fighting it, do not support this war, and do not believe it is winnable.

So when all is said and done, you support only the troops, dead or alive, who agree with you. You support only the troops who support George W Bush.

I don’t support everything that President Chavez stands for, but his people love him, and he is truly trying to make things better for the 80 percent of the people who were in poverty when he took over; has has reduced that figure to 37 percent. He is stealing from the rich to help the poor, whereas George Bush and his policies do the opposite. Hugo Chavez is not anti-American - he is anti-George Bush, and I have to agree with him on that.
