Civil War perpetrated by the Political Class

The Mueller investigation is about the Russian interference in the American election process. It is to cleanse the American system from that and hopefully give us a new start. Do rightys honestly think we should ignore what was done?yes, they just want trump to continue for some weird ass reasons that historians will fumble with for the next century.

The Dems took this defeat without threatening . They accepted Trump, even though they knew he is unqualified and potentially very dangerous. The left is not threatening insurrections or any violence at all. that is the home for the rightys. The Mueller investigation is lawful and careful. if it finds Donald was not complicit, it will say so, and the left will accept it. If it finds collusion or obstruction, you know the rightys will not accept it.They cannot even accept there should be an investigation.

You know damn well you don't believe that stupid shit.

Whether it's Federal or State, Executive, Legislative or Judiciary, the left moves power around to run the country. If it controls an institution, then that institution is suddenly the supreme power in the land. This is what I call a moving dictatorship.

this part is very astute and deserves to be highlighted.

So the village idiot claims that the party which is completely powerless is a dictatorship and you call it insight?
Not sure which of you is dumbest.

It's not debatable, and you're going w/ anatta's argument there: it doesn't matter if the President is moral, or a role model, or anything we'd want our children to emulate, as long as he/she gets results.

It's a valid argument, but I'll never join it.

Jefferson slept with his black slaves.

Poof: presidential morality is gone. Not to mention Clinton.

Well, you won't catch me celebrating either man.

I'll keep striving for better, personally. I think many Trump supporters will come around, eventually.
You have more faith than I do. I think those who still support him are in deep. Their minds are gone.

Jefferson was a genius and the country owes him much. Clinton, despite his moral failings, was an effective president.

Maybe Trump supporters are historical realists.

Come around to what? Trump will win 2020. After that it’s anyones guess. What I strongly believe, is that it has taken a non-political, plain spoken (read that bombastic) pragmatist to address real problems. Trump has/is doing just that.

Liberals and #never Trumpians continue to think, in their elitist way, that Trump will be walked away from. It’s partly why it won’t happen- the average person isn’t blinded by their snobbery. They are living everyday practical realities. They need the real problems that impact their day to day lives, identified, and actually fixed. President Trump gets it- his enemies do not.

Healthcare, it has hurt a lot of people and Trump hasn’t made it better. There are still a lot of things that can go very wrong between now and 2020. Trump has a lot to do. Tariffs are scaring Trump voters. He could win, but there are a lot of factors that could help or hurt him.

Healthcare was fucked up by the progressive wing of the democrats. It was a power grab of 1/3 of the average Americans income. Obamacare took a bad insurance program, and made it worse. Not only iwith insurance costs, but in how actual care is delivered. Voters remember what Obama did. They also saw Trump make valid attempts to fix it- and the political elites prevent him from doing so.

I have yet to see a Trump supporter hysterically scream at the sky lol.

Which is what I said to Anatta. He continues to insist that Trump's motives are pure and everyone else is self-serving. Either you never choose to read his posts, or you must have him on ignore. :D
I told you political motivations don't matter. I don't even go there.
You are the one hung up on "disqualifying" Trump for this and that. I don't give a fuck about what people think,
and barely care about what they say - they aren't meaningful metrics

Uh, I've always disliked Clinton for his lousy character, but, his sexual affairs pale in comparison to Trump's birtherism. Now, maybe the corruption of the Clinton machine is at the level of disqualifying.
I wouldn't vote for her warmongering corrupt ass. But if she got in all I would care about is the job she did

Trump isn't plain spoken. He is as far from plain spoken as anyone I have seen in public life. He talks in circles and exaggerations, and frequently contradicts himself.

I believe that most Trump supporters will be embarrassed about their support for him in a few years, and many will deny it. I have seen this phenomenon before, w/ the Iraq War & Bush.

do you think maybe the fact Bush got into a worthless war had something to do with that?

Tweets come and go. Arguments at the g7 sound like we are headed towards a trade war.
The Korean meeting sounds promising...except none of that matters unless it happens or not.
Talk is cheap.

People - many of the same who enthusiastically defend Trump - talked about that "worthless war" in the same way that they now talk about Trump. Those of us who opposed it didn't understand policy, and were on the wrong side of history, and sympathized with terrorists. Years later, they're all "oh, I was really against it" and other various degrees of amnesia.

I have no doubt at all that it will be the same with Trump. It will be very difficult to find someone who supported him after he is out of office.

that is an illogical construct. Or else you see disaster - are you prescient?
