Our nation needs better mental healthcare and legislation to back it up while preserving individual rights.

At the moment, it's legal to be insane. It's simply illegal to do anything criminal.

One solution is to always go around armed. I usually carry a pocket 9mm. Not to go rushing toward the gunfire since that's the job of the police, but in case the gunfire comes rushing toward me or others.
