[FONT=&][FONT=&]Minnesota state police on Friday arrested CNN reporter Omar Jimenez and his camera crew during a live report on the network's morning program "New Day."

"You're under arrest," one officer said in the middle of the report on the protests that have erupted in Minneapolis.

"OK, do you mind telling me why I'm under arrest? Why am I under arrest, sir?” Jimenez can be heard saying.

"You're arresting him live on CNN. We told you before we're with CNN," one member of the CNN crew could be heard saying off-camera while the footage of the arrest rolled.

"Police said they were arrested because they were told to move and didn't," according to CNN.com.

"That is an American television reporter Omar Jimenez being led away by police officers. He clearly identified himself as a reporter,” explained "New Day" anchor John Berman while showing the video. “He was respectfully explaining to the state police that our CNN team was there and was moving away as they would request," explained "New Day" anchor John Berman. "And for some reason, he was just taken into police custody live on television."

The anchors went on to note that Jimenez identifies as black and Hispanic. They pointed to the fact that they had another crew in the area that is still working and is white...

Good, CNN is spreading terrorist propaganda that they are peaceful protesters and not a violent mob of antifa and BLM terrorists and they were arrested because they violated a legal order to disperse during a violent riot.

Toxic TOP and her ugly fascist ilk are just fine with reporters being harassed and arrested -- unless of course they are white guys/gals from Fox, Breitbart, or other RWNJ sites.

I'm still waiting to see if any of our Reichwing friends here call out Der Stupidfuehrer for his use of the word THUGS in one of his Tweet rampages this morning. I think we all know what *that's* a dog whistle for, eh?

What is the real definition of a thug?
A thug is a bad guy or a bully, especially a violent one. A thug might break into someone's house, push its owners around, and steal their TV. It's hard to reason with thugs, since they'd rather intimidate and physically hurt people than talk.

I'm sure they had a reason. He probably wasn't allowed to be in that area. Marshal law gets declared when thugs are rioting and looting.

You hit the point. The reporter was black, You cannot lie about this one. The entire incident was filmed and the reporter asked him" where do you want me to move "several times. This was a police power show.

If police ask you to move, just move...don't keep asking them where....just move to another location....He was right in the thick of things...had he moved, there would be no incident...
as it turns out, they were released...given an "apology", I believe....
Bottom line, though....If you feel you're being asked to move because of your "ethnicity" instead of your location, file a complaint....but move....

He couldn’t move, wasn’t given a chance to move, they just arrested him. He was released and an apology was given BECAUSE the police screwed up!
