Same with rural Missouri. We lived in a rural area for 11 years, before and after my late husband passed away. Our little town had a pop. of around 750, two Assembly of God churches, four Baptist churches, 3-4 "other" churches, but no Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, etc. I always wondered if people chose one over another because they preferred the personality of the preacher, rather than the kind of doctrines advocated. Or maybe they had friends there.

Up here I've only seen one Baptist church, an LDS, a Seventh-Day Adventist, a Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall..... all the rest are mainstream Protestant, and Catholic. Interesting.
