“ Coca-Cola, Home Depot raise concern over Georgia bills that restrict voting”

They’ve chosen sides. They don’t like yours and knows it would be bad for their image. Surely you know this and you know why.

Why is it good for theirs? How do they benefit from getting involved. These corporations can't vote. They're non-union too. What do they gain by jumping in? Maybe its that they think they can get freebies from the Democrats in Washington?

“Major companies based in Georgia such as Coca-Cola and Home Depot said they agreed with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce raising concern regarding legislation that would limit voting access”

“In statements, Coca-Cola and Home Depot said they were “aligned” with the Georgia business group.”

“Delta Air Lines, another major Georgia-based company, also offered a statement supporting voting rights.”

Telling when entities not exactly voter rights advocates express concern over attempts to make voting more difficult

Define ‘restricting’ voters rights.

:) YET it is republicans who gave away trillions of taxpayer dollars to the already rich and corporation
While democrats had to fight to get money for Americans who need it AND EVEN THOUGH DEMOCRATS WERE SUPPORTED WITH OVERWHELMING PUBLIC SUPPORT, INCLUDING 59% OF REPUBLICAN VOTERS, DEMOCRATS PASSED THE MEASURE WITHOUT ON SINGLE REPUBLICAN VOTE.

JUST MAKE SHIT UP, NOBODY WILL NOTICE.

Typical small minded democrat can't comprehend that all countries compete for corporate investment. :palm: We need to bring corps and jobs back to America. And you don't do that by raising taxes in the middle of a plague and a destroyed small business economy.

People could have gotten their Checks in August. But Pelosi held the citizens hostage, so she could load it with nazi lib pork and regs.. People do not like that part.

The principal owner of Home Depot is Arthur Blank, owner of the Falcons and the MLS Soccer team and Mercedes Benz stadium. He’s the opposite of the other guy. Blank is a mega doner to the Democratic Party, supports Black Lives Matter AND is on the NFL Executive Committee of hiring practices, which includes hiring choaches AND he’s a huge supporter of the city of Atlanta.

Much is happening that you may not be aware of.

I’m aware of who Aurther Blank is and what he supports. But that doesn’t change the fact there was a movement in 2019 to boycott Home Depot due to the co-founder supporting Trump. Tons of articles written about from by the mainstream media.

That is indeed a novel interpretation of corporate power coming from a member of the Citizen’s United fan club that is/was the Republican Party. So according to your interpretation, it’s OK and constitutional for Corporation voices to be heard, but only on issues you want to be heard? What am I missing?

Here is your problem, we are beating your side on your own turf and you haven’t won a culture war since the 50’s.

He sounds like a man the (R)s had best be listening to.

Delta Air Lines, another major Georgia-based company, also offered a statement supporting voting rights.

“Ensuring an election system that promotes broad voter participation, equal access to the polls, and fair, secure elections processes are critical to voter confidence and creates an environment that ensures everyone’s vote is counted,”....

Who would oppose this statement?

They're 'concerned' in the same way Susan Collins was always 'concerned' just before she got on her knees for trump.

When they threaten to pull their headquarters from Ga., I'll believe that they're 'concerned'.

Not shopping at Home Depot ever again. Stupid fuckers will lose thousands from me alone every year. I'd rather pay more from my local lumber yard than support that race-baiting bullshit outlet. Dumb fuckers that work there are fucking idiots anyway. Stupid fuckers couldn't be bothered to get parts for a saw I bought from them so they lose my business for that alone, but this just seals the deal
You call others dumb, when HD has the highest prices and worst quality on wood flooring. Go figure.

Let me guess .. that surprises you. That business cares about its image?
Which is why none of them will take a real stand. They don't want to alienate the 35% of the nation that supports trump and his racist Ga. comrades in state govt.

Oh no, they can speak out on this, the only question is why? What's in it for them?

Freebies??? Obviously you don’t understand the concept of politics either.

Some will take a real stand, just as they have on BLM. Coca Cola will take a stand for sure. The reality is that sometimes corporate power is beneficial to our side, properly used.
