Why do I have to issue the same response twice? We're basically having the same discussion on the other thread, and you are issuing the same set of denials & dodges on that one.

So you can't keep using this duplicate one as a crutch - here is the response: you clearly were talking mission, and not how the troops are trained. I showed that with the quote you keep trying to hide from. If you're talking mission, you're talking secretive - there is no way around that, unless you can find me a quote from the admin stating that the remaining troops will be used and are intended for combat ops.

point to where i said mission....i never did...i said protect...they can do that by just remaining there and if you had any knowledge you would know that the agreement is that the troops will not engage in combat UNLESS the iraqis ask for it OR to protect the troops remaining.....

thus, you can have combat brigades there solely for those two reasons....

i seriously can't believe how you are so stupid, maybe its mental deficiency or maybe its you just are incapable of admitting you're wrong so you end up spinning the debate so far out of whack and context that you miss what people are actually saying

Jeez - that's pathetic. You said the troops there will be doing the same things.

What was our stated mission for the past year? What is it going forward?

You keep calling me stupid; honestly, I don't think you even know what you're saying. How can you seriously run from that?

Another bad day for Yurt. You shouldn't shoot from the hip so much. Try thinking before you post, and then - when you do - actually have some conviction about it, so you don't have to waste countless posts running from it....

WHEN they get asked and WHEN they have to defend

Congrats. You just described every single soldier who serves in our military.

Next?

are you really this stupid? when asked by IRAQ and when they have to defend, the AGREEMENT with IRAQ NOW....

hence, troops will more than likely engage in combat, just like they have been, IF AND WHEN they are asked by the iraqi government and when they have to defend the troops remaining....

i cannot believe you are incapable of grasping such a simple concept....

1. obama claims the last combat brigades have left
2. not true, as two aviation combat brigades remain
3. obama merely changed the title for land troops to "advisors" to score political points
4. they will engage in the same combat activities -there are combat brigades left, just called advisors and the aviation brigades - when asked by the iraqi government or when they have to defend themselves
5. that is per the agreement
6. thus, it is false to claim there are no combat brigades remaining in iraq
7. this is no secret, the agreement is well known
8. onceler is fucking stupid

Always the ad homs when you get pwned. And the neg reps. And the pissiness.

Oh, well - just to sum up: yes, soldiers in the U.S. military are pretty much trained for combat, and the ones who remain in Iraq just saw their mission change to a non-combat role. Naturally, if people shoot at them, they will pick up their gun & shoot back (and if that happens, I'd expect many more troops to be sent back).

Thanks for having this discussion, Yurt. It was so scintillating...

thanks for admitting there are still combat brigades in iraq and that you were wrong to say there wasn't....

it took awhile, but you finally did amitted it....

its funny, when you use ad homs, its not getting pwned, but when i do....well you get the picture, more onceler hypocrisy

and my bullets were so sound, you finally had to concede your point....though you did willfully ignore the two combat aviation brigades that have not had their role or designation changed....

i know, that would have been too embarrassing and too humiliating, much easier to squirm and weasel and move the goal posts and act like you agreed with me all along....

Good lord....who posts like that?

Yurt - what is their mission going forward?

somebody smarter than you

asked adn answered numerous times...even made bullet points, but for the mentally incompetent

1. if asked by the iraqis, they will engage in combat
2. if needed to defend the remaining troops, "combat" or supposedly non combat, then combat brigades or troops will engage in combat
3. leave intact two combat aviation brigades

other than that, i don't know what exact role all 50,000 or so troops will play, as the agreement says ALL troops out by the end of this year or next, i can't remember...also, i do not know the exact situation on the ground, so i will not be like you and PRESUME to know what their exact mission is
