There really are NO communist states. Communism is not a form of government. Communism exists in every nation (including the States of America and in the 'federal' government).
China has communism, fascism, and capitalism within it. The form of government there is oligarchy. That government encourages communism.
Cuba has communism, fascism, and capitalism within it. The form of government there is dictatorship. That government encourages communism.
Laos has communism, fascism, and capitalism within it. The form of government there is dictatorship. That government encourages communism.
Vietnam has communism, fascism, and capitalism within it. The form of government there is oligarchy. That government encourages communism.
North Korea has communism, fascism, and capitalism within it. The form of government there is dictatorship and it encourages communism.
