Even a more basic reason. You can't pardon someone that is not yet convicted of anything. Biden's preemptive 'pardons' are just a senseless redefinition of a 'pardon'.

As Diogenes correctly points out, a President cannot pardon someone convicted of a State crime. Only federal crimes.
A governor can pardon a person convicted of a State crime, but the President cannot.

And lastly, Biden was never elected President, so he can't pardon ANYONE.

Actually, there have been preemptive pardons. I think Lincoln was the first to do it.

But Lincoln did not pardon his whole White family like Biden just did. White Lib privilege is the bestest kind of privilege, especially if you are part of the gov't nobility.

I'm not sure i'm totally thrilled with the new playoffsl system but it worked out for us...lol... I'm so ready for baseball season!! We watched.
