Congress Shall Make NO LAW....

It could be. Your positions are hostile to democracy.

It WON'T be... EVER! You are fantasizing about a Utopian world you wished you lived in but DON'T! There is as much chance of us waking up to that America, as waking up to rainbow ponies flying through the sky, showering us with glittery magic dust! I don't care how much you WISH for that to happen, it ain't gonna!

Money will always find its way into political influence. What you should focus on, is not eliminating corrupt money, but eliminating corruption and electing ethical people to office.

And I am not hostile toward democracy, YOU are the one advocating we strip people of their right to free speech!!!

IDK~~~the whole idea of this just screams of electioneering and just seems like such a disgrace no matter where the money comes from.
I believe it is a consequence of accepting freedom. Information is the best way to battle this particular consequence. I believe that we should elect people who will create strong disclosure laws that will ensure we have the necessary information to make good choices.

The most problematic portion for me is the constant shifting and sliding, instead of just making people tell who gives them the money they created the 527 and called it a victory. It was rubbish, it allowed companies to give as much as they want with zero disclosure they just "couldn't contact" the official offices of the candidate. It gave candidates plausible deniability, it flushed tons of uncounted cash directly into elections (this is without actually counting up the Obama cash...)

This is far less worrisome than the laws they created to "deal" with the issue.

Nahhh... not a whole century's worth... Has the War on The 1st Amendment been going on THAT long? I hadn't realized progressives had so infiltrated our rights, but if you say so!!

No, corporations were given the same rights as other groups, like unions, PAC's, 527's, .ORG's, and such. They WERE being treated as a separate entity and denied their Constitutional right to freedom of speech. And shareholders most certainly have the power to hold the Board of Directors and CEO accountable for ANY action effecting the shareholders.

I did get an adult to explain it to me... Justice Anthony Kennedy... he explained it very well to me, and I am sorry you feel the 1st Amendment is dangerous... maybe you should start the movement to have it repealed?

Oh, and I don't need to read about what this ruling did to McCain-Feingold, I already know... it neutered it... completely destroyed it because it was unconstitutional. I was one of the people screaming this at McCain when his stupid pandering ass was pushing it! Now, it's DEAD! Just like McCain's political future!

Yeah, Dixie....you don't read what you don't like, yet you talk as if you know what's going on.....no wonder you're such a typical willfully ignorant neocon parrot.

You don't even have the guts to read this:

Yet when dummies like you get screwed, you swear it's not the people who you blindly back. So keep repeating long disproved neocon talking points.

Sorry, but the First Amendment is not a neocon talking point. This is about Freedom of Speech, and it doesn't matter to me who's speech is in play... whether it is Citizens United doing a movie about Hillary, or Michael Moore doing a movie about Bush! I am strictly bipartisan when it comes to freedom of speech, particularly political speech. It's unfortunate you are NOT!

Less worrisome, with zero effectivesness at stopping corporate takeover of our society. I guess the lack of effectiveness is why there is less worry. Good for you damo.

But 527 groups have to disclose their contributors. There isn't "zero disclosure." For example, here is a disclosure reports for America Coming Together, a very active left-wing 527 group in the 2004 election cycle:

Congress should pass a law banning any corporation with foreign investors from engaging in electioneering activities.

The war against the 1st Amendment started 10 years after the constitution was ratified when John Adams and the 5th congress signed the Alien and Sedition acts.

Watch out! Hide the women and children! It's maniacal and out of control! We're powerless to do anything about it! Evil Corporation is a force we can't stop! Lock your doors... keep small animals indoors... and for God's sake, don't look into its eyes!

Oh the humanity!

We aren't powerless, that's where you're wrong.

We aren't powerless, that's where you're wrong.

Sure we are! Corporations are evil entities, more powerful than humans! They just roam around absorbing power and corrupting everything in their path, and we are powerless to stop them! Aren't you listening to what is being said about them? Let me tell you mister, it's people like you who are going to get us kilt!

The corporation actually serves as a way an elite board and executives can impose their will through economic control over a set of humans. They may or may not act in the best interests of the society at large over the long term. For instance they could lobby congress to make food growing illegal because of the carbon footpritnt, or zoning laws, then sell everyone the food long enough that they forget how to grow food, send the jobs overseas, then close down operations and head for a better market after they suck the wealth, abilities, and freedoms from the host society, putting it's populace on extinguish. They do this. they are nihilist elitist progressives who believe in population reduction, not serving humanity.

To Serve Mankind. on a platter to the intergalactic overlord.

Suck the wealth, abilities, and freedoms from the host society? Wow, so the evil corporation is like a vampire? Tell us more!! Wait... I need popcorn!

:corn: Okay, I'm ready to hear about the Evil Vampire Corporations, sucking the life out of every nation, and eventually the entire world!

I think you've got the bullet points. Now try refuting it. Exclamation points and emoticons don't get you an instant victory, douchey.
