Conservatives drinking themselves to death out of DESPAIR

Your numbers are way off:BLS says only 152 million were employed in 2016.

Of course you're not counting senior citizens who count Social Security and Retirement Income as their income.

So once again you're deliberately excluding people all so you don't have to admit that Trump voters are poor white trash who are drinking themselves to death.

BLS says only 152 million were employed in 2016.

Here's a question you didn't consider because you're doing sloppy work: Are senior citizens who collect Social Security and/or other retirement benefits not eligible to vote?

Aren't Social Security, 401k's, and pensions also considered income?

Wouldn't that add about 70 million people to the 152 million employed?

So you're thinking that only people who are employed in jobs vote?

Sloppy work.

Your numbers are way off:

BLS says only 152 million were employed in 2016.

The median personal income in 2016 was $31,099.

That means half of American workers (76 million) made over $31,000.

There is no way 157 million workers made less than $30,000 when there were only 152 million workers and 76 million of those made over $31,000.

Number employed [Bureau of Labor Statistics]: http://www.dlt.ri.gov/lmi/laus/us/usadj.htm

Median personal income [Federal Reserve Board]: https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/MEPAINUSA672N

Of course, you're a fucking idiot who didn't even take the 70 million seniors and disabled on Social Security, 401k's, and pensions into account.

That's because you do lots of sloppy work here.

That sloppiness is central to the message board persona you've also artificially constructed for yourself; your "both siderism" is causing you to deliberately obfuscate and omit exculpatory information because you have a conclusion in search of an equation. Your "both siderism" is forcing you to try and rig your pre-determined and prejudicial conclusion by fixing the narrative through deliberate bad faith action.

Why do you do that?
Is it an ego thing?
Are you so insecure in yourself that you have to construct a fake and artificial persona for people to take you seriously?
What is the psychology behind why you're so sloppy and why you want to wiggle around the parameters of your argument?

Wanna bet? Name your wager. We'll have Damo hold the cash and judge.

Are you still trying to pull that lame-ass stunt? :palm:

Why can't you get it through your thick skull that nobody is dumb enough to take you up on one of your little attempted bullshit con jobs?

Pathetic.

going to post another fake picture that you will claim as yours

poor poor dark stool

Hard to believe that sad-ass fool thinks he's clever enough to con someone into sending their money to someone they don't know, on a childish, bullshit online bet.

Poor Dark Slob.

So once again you're deliberately excluding people all so you don't have to admit that Trump voters are poor white trash who are drinking themselves to death.

You keep changing your arguments to justify your bigoted generalizations.

You said nothing about "All Americans" but specifically referred to "workers." See your posts below:

[LV426]
"Income of $30K puts you in the 67th percentile...so that means 67% of workers in this country make an income less than $30K.

"since 67% of all workers (and thus, all eligible voters) make under $30K, then that's a shitload of voters, isn't it? So since 63% of those poor voters -who are 67% of all voters- voted for Trump, and we know 75% of white people voted for Trump, how are poor white trash not Trump's base of support?"

If you had said all Americans I would have used different data, but you referred to workers. Over half of workers make over $30,000. So, not only are your figures wrong, now you change it to include retired and disabled people.

I think you are the one who does sloppy work. You keep changing your argument when your original data is proven wrong.

Actually you're wrong too. 51% of workers make less than 30,000.

This is a perfect example of what my link is talking about.

Conservatives are so distraught that they underachieved in life that they go on message boards anonymously and exaggerate their personal stations in life because if they were to confront the fact that they've accomplished nothing, they'd kill themselves.

If you look at suicide rates by area, there's certainly a pattern. The lowest rates of suicide are DC, NJ, NY, MA, MD, CT, CA, IL, RI, and DE. Each is known for liberalism and all were handily won by Clinton.

By comparison, the most miserable places, judging by the rate at which people off themselves, are MT, AK, WY, NM, UT, NV, ID, OK, CO, and SD. Eight out of ten are conservative places won by Trump.

That's not surprising to anyone who knows liberals and conservatives. Liberals tend to be socially well-adjusted people enjoying life and helping their fellow man to do the same, while conservatives are much more likely to be that bitter category of person mainlining Fox News and then venting their spleens in indecipherable late night tweets to try to make others as unhappy as them.

You keep changing your arguments to justify your bigoted generalizations.

No, no.

YOU keep changing your argument to justify your bigoted generalizations.

Like how you said "the poor don't vote".

Except that 62,800,000 people considered "poor" (whose income is below $30K a year) voted in 2016, which was almost half of all votes cast.

You said nothing about "All Americans" but specifically referred to "workers." See your posts below:

Yeah, those are just the workers! That's not counting the millions of seniors who aren't workers but who are still taking an income because of SS and pension/401k's.

I never changed my argument at all.

YOU did, though.

So, not only are your figures wrong, now you change it to include retired and disabled people.

Income percentile reflects INCOME.

Whether or not that income is derived from employment, Social Security, or retirement plans doesn't matter when calculating the income percentile.

FFS, why are you fighting me on this? Your own data shows Trump's base of support is poor white trash, and that poor white trash is also drinking itself to death.

If you had said all Americans I would have used different data, but you referred to workers. Over half of workers make over $30,000. So, not only are your figures wrong, now you change it to include retired and disabled people.

LOL!

What a fucking loser.

This is red herring bullshit, and you know it.

You're searching for any red herring you cna to avoid the conversation.

Fine, I won't use the word WORKERS.

So 67% of all people drawing an income in this country make less than $30K a year.

So that changes your argument, how?

So notice here how Flash is trying to accomodate their own argument by holding the whole thing up on a red herring.

You say you would have used different data...OK, what fucking data?

I want to know...what fucking data?

I think you are the one who does sloppy work. You keep changing your argument when your original data is proven wrong.

I didn't change my argument at all. You're latching onto a red herring that doesn't change anything about your fucking argument. And that much is true in the fact that you keep repeating the same cut-and-paste without putting forth whatever "data:" you say you'd used.

So fine...I used the wrong word.

But my point about Trump's base of support being poor white trash doesn't change if you call the 67% who make below $30K a year workers or just people drawing an income.

How does that distinction change the argument?

Use math.

Is there a point in this ^^^ babble somewhere, or are just arguing with Flash because that's what you do, whine and moan?
Serious question

Actually you're wrong too. 51% of workers make less than 30,000.

OK, so let's break this down once and for all using math.

In 2016, there was a total of roughly 130,000,000 votes cast @ a 55.7% turnout. Which means there's roughly 235,000,000 eligible voters.

We also know that income of $30K a year is the 67th percentile of income in the country. So we can extrapolate that of the 235,000,000 eligible voters, roughly 157,450,000 of them have an income at or below $30K.

According to the unsourced information Flash provided before, only 40% of those with income below $30K voted in 2016.

So 40% of 157,450,000 eligible voters who make up to $30K a year would be roughly 62,980,000 votes cast by those who make up to $30K a year in the 2016 election.

Now, we know that 60% of the total US population is white, non-hispanic.

And thanks to the unsourced data Flash provided, we know that 63% of white people with income under $30K voted for Trump.

And also, thanks to the unsourced data Flash provided, we know that 53% of those in the <$30K percentile voted for Clinton.

So...

62,900,000 voters with income below $30K cast ballots

53% of them cast ballots for Clinton, with 98% of black people voting for her.

BUT

63% of white people voted for Trump, while only 2% of black people voted for him..

So it would definitely seem that the voters Trump got in the <$30K bracket were the white trash voters, and that what powered Clinton in that group were the votes of minorities who, as you said, didn't even reach 50% turnout in that bracket.

That is, if we accept your unsourced numbers.

So poor white trash voting racial resentment would seem to be the same poor white trash killing itself in red states because of poor life choices, lack of ambition, and privilege.

Serious question

Why are you even posting?

Don't you have a new message board character to work on?

That way you can shirk responsibility for all your past positions by rebranding as something new.

You know, like you did 10 years ago when you stapled a teabag to your face and tried to convince everyone you were a deficit hawk.
