Conservatives Outraged!

And I say that, if any person has a tough time chosing between slavery and freedom, and who categorizes slavery as "possible misery" and freedom as "certain misery", that person is so cowardly that it makes me nearly vomit just trying to imagine that tiny, frightened sort of existence.

Do you also know that most sociopaths don't realise that they are that way? Which explains why you seem to have zero self awareness in your own craziness and the need to repeat the same old tired rhetoric on a more or less constant basis. They also react in a hostile manner when confronted with examples of their behaviour.

So you didn't know you are a sociopath? Doesn't make you blameless, being ignorant.

I am sorry, I like you, but that is just a load of unmitigated drivel.

and this is a reply thereto:

I am sorry, I like you, but that is just a load of unmitigated drivel.

to which I would suggest the re-reading of the following interchange:

And here you still are, unable to follow a train of thought more complicated than:

"Duhhhhhhhh, white! Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, black!"

Here's a exercise for you; look at the two examples I provided and state which one you'd prefer.

If you say it's an easy choice, you're a liar.

it is an easy choice. I would always choose to be a free man rather than be someone else's property, regardless of how benevolent he might seem at the time. As property, he could always sell me to someone else tomorrow less benevolent, as happened to the protagonist in the movie in question.

Great rationale. You'd accept certain misery over possible misery.

I said I would always chose freedom over slavery and his response was that meant I would accept certain misery over possible misery. Unmitigated drivel my ass.... it's his own words tossed right back at him.... either condemn him or not, but don't condemn ME for merely pointing out his own cowardly choices.

Having illegal firearm muscles does make them braver than they'd normally be.

For many liberals it is their only opportunity to become part of the 47%. The hypocrisy of running from the very taxes they advocate so strongly is merely more hypocrisy. Hypocrisy, of course, being the life's blood of liberalism.

I own land overseas and have escape plans should hyper-inflation and taxation come to fruition. However, my patriotism will keep me here until it threatens my survival.

I don't run from the taxes I strongly advocate for.... I pay federal income taxes on all my income and advocate for a higher marginal tax rate that would cause me to pay more.

It's interesting that a total coward such as yourself who believes that the life of a slave was less miserable than the life of a free man would even be ALLOWED into discussions about bravery.

A fairly large Jewish expat community in my town.... several families in my neighborhood.... one two doors down.

I chose Mexico because of its vibrant culture, its proximity to my children, a beach nearby, great real estate prices, fabulous music/art/restaurant scene.... extremely low crime rate... and world class medical care.

You probably wouldn't like it here... there are no benevolent slave owners to take care of you... and, while it is common practice to sit out on your front stoop in the evening enjoying the breeze, nobody down here plays the banjo.
