I didn't say you were still in that group, I said you were in that group until like a year ago, and your reasons for leaving had nothing to do with the group's hateful positions.

But I also know that once someone joins one of those groups, they never truly leave them because they still maintain contact with their friends in it.

I believe you are still in contact with those people and that they told you their plan was to attack the Capitol because they wanted you to join them.
 
They may not have a Constitutional duty, but they do agree to the work conditions. If their job is not to protect in situations like Uvalde then why have a police force? Just have an agency that investigates crimes.

It was their duty to go after the shooter. However, there is a chain of command. If some idiot just rushed into a hostage situation, he could get everyone killed.

Once they had the forces massed, they should have attacked. IDK why they waited but suspect it was a chain of command or jurisdiction issue. The investigation by all parties (from the town, the state and the Feds) will reveal what mistakes were made and how to correct them.

No one wants this situation to ever happen again.

It seems to me, they have no obligation to do anything in these situations, according to the Supreme Court, doesn’t matter who’s in charge, they don’t have to respond. It’s not their duty, according to SCOTUS.
