Masks may be a help.

Hope everyone is doing well in this crazy time. My wife and I are out often and I have to admit the lack of traffic is nice. But I'd rather things were back to normal. The stay at home is fine up to a point, but so long you practice safe distancing etc all should be good. Lots of stuff online so I'll only share one new piece.

'Coronavirus tips: How to grocery shop safely'

The second piece is interesting as humans are so easily panicked and made into tools. I think Trump worship falls into this category as he is all talk and even his talk changes from day to day but weak people need a leader even an incompetent one it seems.

Interesting how different nations are approaching this virus danger. Finland for instance has loads of stock medical supplies. Germany treats their sick from cars etc. With Trump it becomes a politicized issue, rather than a problem to be faced and handled. His daily updates are often sound bites like his rallies for his ardent followers. But look at the piece on our South and you see the failure of politics particularity concerning the ACA aka Obamacare. Why is America's south so backward?

Change of pace, add your thoughts.

Coronavirus has changed our lives in odd ways. We now talk at distances. Shopping is an obstacle course - as well as a patience builder for people like I. Dinner is a drive through and at home where it used to be family more isolated. TV dinner has new meaning. Cathedrals are now hospitals. Mosques, Synagogue and churches are empty lots. I hate these masks but now wear one - sometimes. Parks are crowded with walkers and beaches are closed to them. Truckers speed along alone and lines form before stores open. TV is a statistician and not a good one. Trump lies - I guess that's not new. Fauci warns and now talking heads all appear from a computer. I have my computer eye blacked out. We call friends now well some friends. What do lip readers do. Death is more alone than ever. And the end of all this appears vague and uncertain. What is the meaning of life in a pandemic?

Hope all are practicing the recommended ways to avoid this virus. Wearing a mask is a nuisance but we are seeing more of them now. Be safe out there.

"The adventure of life is to learn. The purpose of life is to grow. The nature of life is to change. The challenge of life is to overcome. The essence of life is to care. The opportunity of life is to serve. The secret of life is to dare. The spice of life is to befriend. The beauty of life is to give." William Arthur Ward

Some humor during this complex time. 'If Trump were captain of the RMs Titanic'

'Captain Trump of the RMS Titanic:'

"There isn't any iceberg.
There was an iceberg but it's in a totally different ocean.
The iceberg is in this ocean but it will melt very soon.
There is an iceberg but we didn't hit the iceberg.
We hit the iceberg, but the damage will be repaired very shortly.
The iceberg is a Chinese iceberg.
We are taking on water but every passenger who wants a lifeboat can get a lifeboat, and they are beautiful lifeboats.
Look, passengers need to ask nicely for the lifeboats if they want them.
We don't have any lifeboats, we're not lifeboat distributors.
Passengers should have planned for icebergs and brought their own lifeboats.
I really don't think we need that many lifeboats.
We have lifeboats and they're supposed to be our lifeboats, not the passengers' lifeboats.
The lifeboats were left on shore by the last captain of this ship.
Nobody could have foreseen the iceberg."

Read it Watch it

This talk, book, and research is eye opening. It is the reason the world needs the WHO and funding so we do not have another Coronavirus plague. Make sure you watch the TED talk.

"By monitoring people who are exposed to animals in such viral hotspots, we can capture viruses at the very moment they enter human populations, and thus develop the ability to predict and perhaps even prevent pandemics."

These events have happened in our past, an interesting read is '1493' which details the diseases foreigners brought to our native population. It is curious how weak and inept we humans can be, one wonders how long this incident will last. Historians will look back and say why didn't they learn. What was it Pogo said...

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9862761-1493

'1918 Spanish Flu historical documentary | Swine Flu Pandemic | Deadly plague of 1918'

"There is no need to sally forth, for it remains true that those things which make us human are, curiously enough, always close at hand. Resolve, then, that on this very ground, with small flags waving and tiny blasts of tiny trumpets, we shall meet the enemy, and not only may he be ours, he may be us." Pogo

While this has a humor focus, the information is well done and counters the false narrative of some, whose objective or goal is questionable at best. Listen.

Who is behind the protests to open America during this pandemic and why. As has been the case for many years it is politics or political power. When you benefit from a lack of government or social policy oversight, anything goes. You see that in wages and environmental regulations as well as banking. Those who benefit play on the emotions and frustrations of the easily led. If anyone would want top learn more I will add a few books at bottom. They will challenge you, beware.
