Masks - do they work. This surprised me. It seems distancing and being outside are the way to go if you are in high risk group.

'Filter efficiency was measured across a wide range of small particle sizes (0.02 to 1 µm) at 33 and 99 L/min. N95 respirators had efficiencies greater than 95% (as expected). For the entire range of particles tested, t-shirts had 10% efficiency, scarves 10% to 20%, cloth masks 10% to 30%, sweatshirts 20% to 40%, and towels 40%. All of the cloth masks and materials had near zero efficiency at 0.3 µm, a particle size that easily penetrates into the lungs.4'

Most of that misinformation either originates from or is recycled by the president.

"A chief concern is that coronaviruses do not tend to trigger long-lasting immunity. About a quarter of common colds are caused by human coronaviruses, but the immune response fades so rapidly that people can become reinfected the next year."

"Heymann says it is too soon to know how the pandemic will pan out. “We don’t understand the destiny of this virus,” he says. “Will it continue to circulate after its first pandemic? Or will it, like some other pandemic viruses, disappear or become less virulent? That we do not know.”"

I hate wearing these masks, but it seems they do help prevent the spread of Covid-19. PA requires them and even in remote areas people wear them. Some wear them outside walking which seems a bit much to me. Anyway this article is sorta funny. We may like certain Asian nations wear them more often going forward.

Hope everyone is doing well in this crazy time. My wife and I are out often and I have to admit the lack of traffic is nice. But I'd rather things were back to normal. The stay at home is fine up to a point, but so long you practice safe distancing etc all should be good. Lots of stuff online so I'll only share one new piece.
