APP - Coronavirus Information

My wife, more concerned than I over this virus, wants to make sure we have supplies for the Fall as she feels it will continue, the history of pandemics is on her side. See book down and State stats.

We were out shopping yesterday and people here in PA are still wearing masks, a good thing given that states with Trump Governors have a growing numbers of hospitalizations. One aspect of this Pandemic and the Trump administration is the conformity of republicans under Trump. It is an acknowledgment of the power of a fascist kind of persuasion. They follow or imitate rather than act on the health and safety of their state and the people they were elected to keep safe. Be safe out there, this too shall pass.

"... a vaccine will not likely end this pandemic for several reasons.

For starters the most affected population, people over the age of 60, are the most difficult population to develop vaccines for. As the immune system ages, the effectiveness and duration of vaccines wanes with it. “It is very difficult to develop a vaccine for older people,” notes Haseltine."

COVID-19 like death and taxes is just a part of life or sometimes death, oh sorry I said that.....

"But over the following week, three local people also came down with the disease for no obvious reason, leading to one of Singapore's first and most baffling coronavirus cases. Working out what had happened would lead to a new and disturbing insight into how the virus was so successfully finding new victims."

Interesting but I think it needs more investigation. Evolution is fascinating and we humans have existed for such a short time in universe time. Most estimates are around one hundred thousand years. While the universe is over thirteen billion years old.

I'm sure everyone has heard from someone who thinks they may have had COVID-19. My brother was sure he had it but his antibody test was negative. Another family thinks the same but hasn't been tested. A few in extended family have had it and are doing better but not quite back to normal. I'm one of the lucky ones as I never even had the flu. Knock on my wooden head. Hope all are well, be safe out there, this is going to be with us for awhile.
