Gee thanks.....yeah it was spec'ed...and then re-spec'ed to include Blum's firm for consideration as the least skilled of the bidders who would otherwise not be considered.

Let me clear things up for you. You appear to be one of those simple people who happy asses around believing that government contracts go out to bid in some sort of fair process. You probably even buy the whole "small business" set asides. In other words, a retard.

All companies that get government contracts learn how to spec bids and they all do it, and if you don't know how to do that you don't get contracts. I'm sure there is an exception here or there, some moron who stumbles onto one, but for the most part that's how it is. It's who you know. You get to know the buyer, you spec the bid.

You should ask Dick Cheney he knows a thing or three about this. But you're a hack and don't care. The only outrage you ever feel is partisan outrage. Anyone who takes you seriously is a dupe.

you're making a hell of an assumption about my 'outrage', especially considering that i've not ranted OR supported this particular issue. I simply asked you a question about your position...which seems to have gotten you rather unsettled and defensive. Should I also assume that you were indeed outraged at the halliburton contracts issue?

I'm not Darla...but I'm not non-chalant about any of it.

But excuse me if I remain skeptical if a known partisan passes off something as fact when there's only speculation at this point. If something comes of it, then I'll form an opinion...Furthermore, Feinstein is a US Senator...while I'm sure that the title carries weight with her home state, it's yet to be determined how much influence she had on a decision made at the state level.

Much like Weiner-gate...I'll reserve judgment until the facts(if any in this case) come out. With the Congressman, I was adamant that if the allegation were true, that he should resign. And I feel the same way about this, Haliburton, and any other cronyism that puts connections before the people.

The company did nothing wrong or underhanded......the authorities did....the politicians did....the state did.....

There is no way to prove anything about this issue and never will be unless some whistle blower comes forward, do don't hold your breath.

The people that changed the rules of the contract process, behind the backs of the board that originally set the conditions, will not confess to any wrongdoing or implicate
any high ranking state or federal politician in collusion ..... its a fool proof scheme unless this "board" puts up a stink in some fashion.....
Its a done deal.....I'm surprised they didn't just change the skill evaluation of Blums company to avoid any "speculation".....

The first company I thought of when reading this was Halliburton and the absolute trillions of dollars they made with the help of the Bush family and the thousands of people they killed.
