The police are on your side ( the government) not the citizen's side. Unless you consider the cops spending all their time out on the highways looking to fill their DUI quotas instead of patrolling community neighborhoods at night where they belong being on the citizen's side.

How about Ruby Ridge and what happened to Randy Weaver and his family, was that done for and by the people?

How about somebody sitting in a bar having a few drinks after work trying to unwind? Do the people consider him / her a criminal?

How about somebody roaming a neighborhood after 10 pm at night and not a cop in sight and him not supposed to be there? Is he there for and by the people?

I don't consider anyone having a drink or two in a bar after work a criminal. I don't care what the cop's blood alcohol government breathalyzer says.

There was a time in this country when community police would escort a citizen home who's had one too many out on the roads or a time when cops would let somebody keep sleeping in their car off the road - better there than trying to drive.

But along came young punks fresh out of college with badges with mirror sunglasses and governmental directives and then everything changed.

And so now liberals like you all like the police because now cops perform social justice enforcement instead of upholding community laws.

Would you rather have your local police filling quotas with DUI's out on the highways or patrolling the neighborhoods like they used to when they used to be community police?

The citizens are in their homes in their neighborhoods resting for the next upcoming work day.

And if your local PD was patrolling the neighborhoods, someone just like you would be bitching that they weren't doing enough to stop those driving under the influence.
