The things trump has said and still says are not the rantings of an insane person, but the spewage of a carnival barker, nothing more. trump's no genius, but neither was probably PT Barnum or Hilter. They still commanded a large audience.

I think what is is that folks enjoy the fact the garbage he spews irritates people. They know he store secret docs, they know he tried to extort help from Zelensky - what they won't tolerate is anyone talking about it.

When all those text messages were released implicating trump in inciting the 1/6 attack, trump's followers were only furious we saw the text messages. They didn't care trump incited 1/6, they know he did.
