It happens everywhere, brother. Everywhere. I've heard people tell some more moderate Rs that they were in the wrong party. I asked them if they realized their views were not the majority... They were stunned.

They've been so loud and in charge they began to believe that they were the majority of conservatives.
 
I have a calm, cool and rational debat with Darla all the time.....well....at least I stay calm, cool and rational. ;)

I habe been called every name in the book in just a couple of days - I have not returned the remarks since I am trying to have a discussion

I am used to it however. I have come a board where 90% of the posters are out of the mold of Mainman

I am sorry, but that is just an outright lie. He had the highest rated show on MSNBC at the time, but far more imporantly, Democracy Now eventually obtained the actual memo where NBC executves spelled out that they didn't want "anti war voices" on the network.

Bill has been #1 in his time slot for about 6 years now

Dem Now is about as credible as Media Matters

If MSNBC did not want anti war voices why is Matthews and Overbite still on the air?

Matthews was pro-war at the time, and I dont know what Olbermann was saying at that time, I had never even heard of him and doubt you had either. Phil Donahue was the one you and yours were gunning for; he was openly anti-war.

And what possible difference can it make, when there is a leaked NBC memo which STATES, that Phil Donahue should be fired because he was a "difficult public face" in the run-up to the Iraq war?

What is wrong with you? Are you this emotionally invested in your alleged victim hood that you would simply die were you to have to admit, in your head that a LIBERAL was FIRED from a tv show for BEING LIBERAL?

No, he was fired not dropped, when he had the highest rated MSNBC show on air. It is ludicrous to suggest that any network would ever drop their highest rated television show because it wasn't beating Bill O'Reily. Olberman doesn't beat O'Reily to this day.

I guess it's too bad for that the memo was leaked. It's public record now. there is nothing to be done about a mind like yours, steeped in the orgasmic pleasure of your victimhood, refusing to acknowledge facts.

But, you can't change those facts, nor public knowledge. And that's going to continue to be your problem.

I have no problem with mediamatters trying to initiate a boycott nor do I have a problem with those that initiated a boycott against the ditzie chicks. The ditzie chicks had every right to say what they did as they expressed their right to free speech. Just as those who boycotted them did.... that is not intolerance, that is also free speech. Same with media matters coming out opposed to the whackjob. She has a right to say what she does and they have a right to oppose her.

But throwing things at a person is not a part of free speech. There is a difference.
