Court Clears Way for Egg Rights Showdown

The point water was to put yourself in the place of the unborn child. Would you choose to be aborted if you were given the choice?

NONE of us would.
This is mindless emotionalism. Most abortions take place in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. If I went back to when I was 12 weeks in utero I would not choose ANYTHING because I would not be ABLE to choose. Jeezus Christ it is the same answer if the fetus was 12, 20 or 40 weeks gestation, they would not be able to choose. What you want is for us to posit our consciousness right now as it exists in the developing body of a 12 week fetus. That is not a philisophical question is is a ludicrous question. And if you look at your question above you did say put myself in the position of the unborn. IN The position of the unborn I would have no self awareness, if I was aborted, as most are, during the first trimester I would feel no pain, I would have no hopes, no dreams, no ambitions. I would not hunger, I would not thirst, I would not fear. In short I would do NONE of the things that a sentient person does. Because at that point I do not think there for I am not. If you want to have a philosophical question then you have to get to what makes you "I"? Is it your fingers and toes? Is it your ass cheeks or your elbows? No it is your brain. At some point that system comes on line, when it comes on line, and the full POTENTIAL for thinking therefore being exists THEN you are a person. Until then, you aren't a "YOU".

It is hardly emotionalism. Try to pay attention. For a lawyer I would expect you to be able to pay atttention to the details.

I did not say, go back to when you were 12 weeks old or less. I said would you TODAY choose abortion for yourself if you could go back and decide. Meaning... are you glad your mother didn't choose to end your life? It has nothing to do with feeling pain or not. You are trying to dehumanize the child by making excuses for killing it. At no point is the child anything but human. It is alive. Development is not a criteria for being human.

The next feeble attempts by the pro-abortion crowd are to say, well it is not a "person" or "being". Both of which are false. The definition of a "being" is to exist" The definition of a person is a human being. Try as you might to attempt to dehumanize the child, it is complete bullshit on your part.

You can, as I already mentioned argue whether or not an unborn child should be entitled to basic human rights. That is most certainly debatable. So do try to set aside YOUR emotions and quit trying to argue the ignorant position of dehumanizing the child. You are sounding like those that deny evolution.
