The wall was a national defense project, so that isn't running off with the funds.

It's also irrelevant--COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT--to the current situation with SNAP. Two judges have defied the Supreme Court and made rulings that in effect make them the Chief Executive (eg., President) of the US.

Funding comes from Congress, per the constitution this cunt is defying. Presidents do NOT control the purse strings. Has even one democrat ever read the Constitution that they are trying to end? Even one?

Congress authorized that $6 billion for specific emergencies and that doesn't include a shutdown of government. Personally, I think Trump should release the entire amount and pay full benefits to the extent he can for the next two weeks. Then he can say that money is gone and there's no more and let the Democrats squirm. It only delays the inevitable if the Democrats won't budge on a clean CR. Trump comes off looking like the good guy while the Democrats look like the evil villains they are.

This is a clear case of low-level federal judges going rogue, setting federal policy, and doing so with ZERO legal grounds to do so.

Here's Talwani's order. She is setting policy for the US on food stamp money, a clear violation of her powers as a district court judge and so ruled by the Supreme court.


I seriously doubt hers or McConnell's rulings will stand on appeal.
