IMO he pardoned them hoping that action would encourage others to join the Cult and do his bidding when he needs to threaten or pull off another insurrection. Notice also how he does nothing to discourage MAGAT death threats against judges who rule against him, media personnel who report negatively on him, and any others who don't goosestep to the MAGAT drums.

The point is FLA MAGAS voted for Trump and now he is cutting what could be very important Fed, agencies they may need later this year if they get hit by a bad hurricane.
They got what they wanted so now if they need those Fed, agencies that were cut and may not have the funding they need to help the people of FLA. they won't have it or may not even be there.

just curious, but is there something that the feds do that the states cannot?

OIC, thanks. Great illustration of cutting off your nose to spite your face, isn't it? If a hurricane hits the area where Mar-A-Lardo is, bet Trump gets all the federal help and $$ HE needs. Screw the rest of them, eh?

No doubt Mar-a-Lago would see billions of taxpayer dollars spent on it by Trump while the rest of Palm Beach and the area lays devastated.

the cost to the states might be lower, but that's only because the feds tax the people more. so if there's less fed taxes because they cut services/agencies, the states will pick it up. It's a lot easier for the people to hold the states accountable
