The clock is ticking down to zero, and Trump needs a trade deal — badly

Crazy Trump, the dealmaker-in-chief, has said for weeks that at least one trade deal is imminent with one of the dozens of countries in active negotiations with the United States to avoid punishing tariffs. So where is it? With whom????
But as the weeks roll on with no deal in sight, the Trump administration risks inflicting serious economic damage that could quickly turn into a US and global recession. America’s aggressive trade war has already sent the US economy into reverse. Last week’s quarterly report on gross domestic product, the broadest measure of the US economy, showed America’s first contraction since early 2022, as an otherwise-healthy economy was dragged down by companies stockpiling goods to get ahead of tariffs.

Well good news, as Trump strikes a deal that will ensure luxury goods like Aston Martins and Bentleys will not be tariffed.

but meantime Trump still scoffs when the interviewer ask him about strollers and dolls other things for kids, continuing his line that this short term pain is for a greater good.

Depends on what day he is talking. He has claimed he has 200 deals signed. He has claimed from 1 to 50 on other days. Trump is not honest. You cannot judge his statements like you can anyone else's.
What we know is that there are zero because trade deals take a long time to do. The Canadian/Mexican/American deal he got took 18 months in his first term. Now, after 100 days he says he has them piled up. He is lying. He is always lying.

He has claimed he has 200 deals signed.
We've already seen what a 'great treaty' means to Trump. He got North Korea to sign a meaningless and unenforceable sheet of paper with some vague language written on it, and he then howled that he had gotten North Korea to denuclearize.

Really? Can you provide that paper and or Trump's declaration??

So, Trump didn't announce a deal today? Oh wait, some say it's not really a deal because every detail hasn't been ironed out. I love hearing from 'some' even more than the usual libtard's at the NYT or MSNBC or CNN or ABC or CBS or NBC or PBS or The View. Oh my god, I forgot...Biden was supposed to be on the view today, I've got to make some popcorn and check that out, lol. Oh yeah, back to you dumbasses, can one of you show me the quote from Trump saying he already had 200 deals signed? I missed it, somehow.

Art Of The Deal above shown in all its splendor.

The US had a trade surplus with the UK. Which means, in Trump speak, that US citizens were taking advantage of the UK and gaining advantage.

Trump slaps tariffs with them, and the UK says 'ok lets cut a deal' and the UK walks out with a deal which advantages the UK vehicles as compared to the US made ones

And the stable genius strikes again. What a buffoon.

Maybe he wants to sell our nukes to these other countries. What could possibly go wrong?
But he got an 'Announcement' his magats will now claim = brilliance and the Art of the Deal.

But to be fair to Trump he spoke on and on about how many Bentleys he has owned and apparently his dad bought them too. So this is Trump simply being empathetic, which we rarely see him do. He can see the burden this would cause Bentley buyers and he can relate and does not want them to pay the increased costs. Unlike when the interviewer brought up 'increased costs on things that young family need like strollers' and Trump replied 'what a thing to bring up' as he then said those tariffs would stay and people need to just learn to do with less or pay more.

Trump will get some countries to make "show deals" on tariffs. He will make huge promises that will not be part of the deal. Then a country or 2 will announce the deal and Trump will brag.
The Righty's pope on tariffs. https://www.facebook.com/reel/1013161364085446
Trump claimed he had 200 deals signed. Why is he chasing around looking for one to show his success, if he has already done it all?

What is both funny and ironic is that his super-duper trade deal with the UK was upstaged by the election of Pope Leo. LOL

it is worse than that.

By Trump's own logic, the US was taking advantage of the UK (trade surplus) but due to his stupidity and now needing something to announce FAST, the UK was able to improve their industry position in the auto market relative to the US automotive manufacturers.

Trump is so desperate for a FAST deal he is worsening the US industry positions, just so he can announce something and call it great.

Dolls and other toys will not be built in America and Trumps response is that 'little girls (kids) should learn to do with less and their parents should be prepared to pay more'. Same for things like strollers.

However, for Bentleys, Jaguars and Aston Martins, Trump says 'those won't be built here and he would not even want them too' and as such he is giving them a competitive advantage against American manufacturers as Trump has owned a lot of Bentleys and sympathizes with those who might be buying in the future and have to pay more for it.

Trump is a Nationalist and now he's proving to be a Socialist by dictating what Americans can and should buy, how much they can have and why they should be happy with the results he's producing. IMO, that makes him a National Socialist. :)

But do not worry as the tariffs will end up being the most massive tax increase for the Middle class, so that is how they fuel the tax cut for the rich they are now trying to push through.

Luckily we dodged that bullet, right Trump?

The sad part is that JPP MAGAts won't see, much less understand, the sarcasm.
