I doubt if their captivity did much to endear the Israelis to them. I also strongly doubt that the Palestinians are going to agree to be governed by a group they did not choose.

Maybe they need something like North and South Korea -- separate countries with separate governments, and a nice fat DMZ separating them, guarded by both sides.

Of course not. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. The next time, however, there won't be anything left of Gaza to rebuild for the Palestinians. It'll become an Israeli resort. :)

I'm good with a two-state solution. Security and border lines are the sticking points. One single terrorist attack is an act of war. Just one shooting will be all it takes.

That's exactly the kind of 'theory' you'd be eating up like a true bunker boy. Considering Israel left over 97% of the 'Palestinians' alive. (whatever that means, usually a word like that would come from people living in a country or state called Palestine which has never actually existed. The term used by the Brits included Arabs and Jews, before that going back over 2000 years they were essentially Arabs, today I guess it means Arabs that aren't wanted by Arabs, you tell me) Anyways, Israel isn't very good at genocide considering they gave warnings before dropping bombs and allowed all that wanted to leave to go and attempted to give them aid for survival. I guess they need to learn how to do genocide right.

In that case Israelis are known to commit acts of war themselves. Until there is a more evenhanded attitude about all this, a shelving of the blame game, the conflict will never end.

Why not? They've been at war since May 1948. If Canada or Mexico did to the US even for day what the Iranian-backed Palestinians have been doing to Israel for over 50 years, both Ottawa and Mexico City would have been taken by the United States Marine Corps the next day....and no one would have blamed us...at least not out loud. LOL
