Crowds flock to reopened Jacksonville beaches as Florida hits record coronavirus case

Life annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd death are not 100% "safe". Make your best effort of taking care of yourself, get out and live!

I know. There's a difference between dancing on the rooftops and dancing on the ledge. I've buried over 30 friends. My friends and other survivors learned the value of "minimal risk" operations.

When are you going to post a selfie of yourself on the beach? Or are you "playing it safe"?

....annnd like a drunk driver in the opposite lane, how do you prevent someone from harming you? You have no control over who sneezes on you, who coughs on you, who coughed into their hands then touched a doorknob, etc. If you want to go out, fine. If you want to role the dice on contagion by hanging out in crowds, fine. Just don't tell me it's 100% safe, that there is nothing to be concerned about.
it's the same risk as going to a store. Only it's LESS RISK because of the enviornment.

Who said it's 100% safe? or "nothing to be concerned about?" - not me

you better get used to phased in work and social distancing -either wear a mask, stay home or not..
but going to a beach is the safest ( less risks) enviornment I can think of

Thanks for the clarity on the picture.

The discussion was about being able to maintain social distancing on Jacksonville beaches this summer. Today it's rainy in Jacksonville, but as summer approaches and it gets hot and sweaty in Jacksonville by mid-May, do you think the beaches will fill up?

Again, I fully support States opening up as they see fit. They always had the power and only a fucking moron thinks the President has that power. If a state wants to open up when and in what manner is totally up to them. Let them be guinea pigs. If Jacksonville wants to open up its business and risk shutting them down again in July or August, that's their choice. I support that choice. I hope it works out for them. If not, then they only have themselves to blame. Not my problem.
so you decided to rant about Trump, but agree to a phased in approach as designed,
but they are guinea pigs -but this is not your problem?? anything else bothering you?

Thanks for your guarantee on the matter. I'm curious to see how it works out. Give it give another two weeks to warm up there, a few hundred infections on the beach (mostly very young people), another two weeks for them to infect their parents, grandparents and tutors/nannies/teachers with a another two weeks add, then by June 1st JAX, FL could be a COVID hot spot. All for science, of course.

I'm retired and live on a few acres so my contact is minimal. However, grandkids don't nor their parents. Life goes on. Some will die, maybe a lot will die. Que sera, sera, eh amigo?

Omg -- have you ever been on a beach before? The winds are so high and the space is so broad, you don't have to encounter anyone except the people you went with.

Are there only igloo-dwellers on this board?

The beach is the LAST place you can catch Covid. If you're that concerned about people spreading it, rally to shut down the grocery stores where people are packed in and lined up like cattle. That's the place to catch it, guar-on-teed.

I'm from New Jersey, Ass wipe...and this is what a beach in New Jersey looks like on a not especially busy day:

So shut the fuck up, because you do not know what the hell you are talking about.

where did I guarantee anything? are you always this obtuse?
I see no point in going over anything further since you just make up your own narrative

stay safe. but society is going to open up again

LOL. Thanks making me laugh. Are there any more of my posts that bother you so much?

You should try bitching less and meditating more. You're looking less and less enlightened with every post you make.

oh please . Buddhism is much more the meditation..
face it . you change my words to fit your narrative - does it bother me? no more then the 100's of dweebs who have landed on JPP and think they can do the same without being called on it. It's amusing to watch you back peddle -nothing more

So, what? Right NOW beaches have been intentionally vacant.

So, quit your kvetching, go out and have a nice day.
Sweetie, you were the one bitching, not me. I advised everyone to go out as they like. I support the Governors making the decision. It appears the main point you are bitching about is my comment that if they get sick, it's not my problem. That's the purpose of guinea pigs.
