Crowds flock to reopened Jacksonville beaches as Florida hits record coronavirus case

Quoting himself too.

Any idea why he's picked a Russian name for his latest skin-sloughing ? Seems a tad deranged considering his form.
A nice Brit on Twitter just gave me a hashtag for him #Mangowanker. I laughed when I read it and immediately thought of Tom.

Hello dukkha,

Probably? boogeyman? Socialism destroys a dynamic economy.

No it doesn't.

The USA had socialism in the 50's back when America 'was great again.'

There is a perfectly vibrant economy to be had under a hybrid mixture of capitalism and socialism. That will produce a productive and thriving economy and widespread prosperity with plenty of products and services for all to happily enjoy.

What actually destroys an economy is extreme wealth inequality. The more extreme the wealth inequality is, the more destruction. As the needle is pushed to the end of the scale, where a very small number of people own virtually all the wealth, then everyone else is left in competition for the leftover scraps. No link required. This is just basic logic. Don't believe it? Just keep supporting the rich and powerful.

Good morning rjhenn,

Good to hear from ya, old friend.

And you are totally right on this one, nailed it:

Trump thinks he'll just be able to declare bankruptcy and walk away.

Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

That's what he has always fallen back on, his whole life. Run up huge bills and then simply walk away claiming inability to pay, thus screwing whomever he did business with.

He wants that for the States.

That can't possibly work.

All of the people and businesses who have performed work for a State need to be paid.

Screwing them would lead to a collapse of society.

And the services a State provides to it's citizens are vital.

Once again, without that? Destitution galore.

Bad plan for everybody but the rich and powerful who got away with it.

WE, The People, cannot allow that to happen.

Hello rjhenn,

Of course, Trump gave a big chunk of our revenue to the 1% with his tax cut.

And thus himself.

He thinks if he snows enough of us he can get away with it.

Let's stop him in November.

Vote him out by mail before November 3rd.

I can hardly wait to cast my vote.

This is everyone's chance to cast their verdict on his impeachment.

Keep digging little guy. You have a long way to go to hit paydirt. Not my first rodeo, or even my first rodeo with you. The years appear to have left you angry and bitter. Tough break kid.

Congrats. In less than a week you are living with us rent free in Sailor's head. Poor guy wears a hat that says "vacancy."
It's crowded in here.

Hello Darth Omar,

How about we allow SCOTUS and not mayors and governors to determine those limits.

Nobody is stopping the Bundy's et al from gathering a huge group of people to challenge the social distancing orders to test that.

Then they are free to brandish their guns and barge into nursing homes to go hug and kiss their parents and grandparents all they like, claiming the SCOTUS should decide that too, if they feel their freedom to do any of those things is being unfairly limited.

Who the frick came up with the idea to send COVID patients to a nursing home?

Why would anyone do that?

SMH.

Would you prefer a hospice? Pat em on the head, cross your chest and off they go? How about we line them up in gurneys in the baccarat section of a Trump's casino? If beds are not available, nursing home seems the closest natural fit after hospitals. At least they get care.

Horse mierda, Snowflake, America rejected Socialism and the old Socialist lunatic, old Bernie.

If you prefer bloody Socialism, emigrate to Venezuela, bring food...and batteries.

Old Bernie is now “rich and powerful” thanks to Capitalism.

You know God damned well you have personally self-identified as Tom Prendergast -- so this is obviously another intentionally malicious attempt to defame someone's character.

It's nothing to do with you, butt out. I just love the way you have this burning need to act as some kind white knight rescuing the fayre maiden from the nasty villain.

Jacksonville had temperatures way above average since mid March. Nice job of cherry picking. Vietnams weather is no different than many countries that have higher than average infection rates. Nice try though.

Listen matey, I live in Thailand and know Vietnam well. I can assure it is plenty hot and humid now. Same with Laos and Cambodia. It is well documented that viruses hate humidity, why are you even attempting to dispute that?

Tom Prendergast, you tried to make it sound like she was outing your name, when you actually know God damn well it was you who paraded around the board with the handle "Tom Prendergast'

THE BEDS WERE AVAILABLE. how can you not pay any attention to what you read?

I'm not. Because there is no evidence yet that this virus is sensitive to those things and no evidence that it isn't. Where you live is irrelevant. Jacksonville is NOT Vietnam.

all virus is sensitive to humidity and temps. the only question is at what levels -that does vary

Oh please stop making stuff up, the Dept of Homeland Security says otherwise. As for Florida ask anybody who lives there if it's humid now!

Covid-19 killed by sunlight, warmer temperatures, humidity: US research

"Our most striking observation to date is the powerful effect that solar light appears to have on killing the virus, both on surfaces and in the air. We've seen a similar effect with both temperature and humidity as well. Increasing the temperature and humidity or both is generally less favourable to the virus," Bill Bryan, chief of the science and technology directorate at the US Department of Homeland Security, said.

In a room at 70-75F temperature with 20 per cent humidity, the half life of the virus is about an hour, according to Bryan. "But you get outside and it cuts down to a minute and a half, very significant difference when it when it gets hit with UV rays," he said.

According to the same research, the virus' half life on surfaces reduces dramatically with a combination increase of temperature and humidity.
https://www.tribuneindia.com/news/w...armer-temperatures-humidity-us-research-75513

When the temperate is kept constant at 70-75F and only the humidity is cranked up from 20 per cent to 80 per cent, the virus' half life is shown to crash from 18 hours to 6 hours. If the temperature is increased to 95F, the half life sinks to barely 60 minutes.

Bryan said this testing was done at DHS' advanced bio containment lab in Maryland, just outside the national capital.

Pointing to charts with data from experiments on the COVID-19 virus, Bryan said the virus half life plunges "drastically" with exposure to higher temperatures and even minimal exposure to humidity.

Probably so since bankruptcy always worked for him before. Of course, he's also never had his own printing press for making money soooooo.......

All good stuff, but anything not being hit directly by UV rays can last for an hour according to the data. That's a lot of door knobs and railing, trash can lids, footballs, frisbees, etc.

While adults can be cognizant of social distancing, not touching their face, washing their hands, etc, kids are not. By adult standards, children are insane and cannot be trusted to remember anything for long. They might remember the rules "most of the time" but all it takes is once and within a week, the entire family is infected. Grandma and Grandpa too if they meet.

That's the reality. I still fully support opening the economy and just take the hit. It's hard to cull a herd, especially of people, but sometimes it's necessary. This is one of those times. Our nation has no resources left. It can't stay locked down over the summer or the vast majority of middle class and lower income Americans will be starving, bankrupt and ruined. We, the People have to face up to the fact up to 9 Million Americans will die because our nation was stupid for 20 years. It'll be a watershed moment. That is, unless a miracle cure or vaccine is developed by the Fourth of July...but I doubte it will.
