Trump as President should not give people false hope. The drug combo isn’t a cure for all. The danger of Trump speaking is it gives false hope. People are less likely to stay in if they feel there are drugs that can save them.

Use in normal times should require randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled studies or trials, in people with this ailment funded by govt through NIH.
Now these are not normal times and they are cutting red tape. It doesn't mean there is no downside risk, side effects or powerful data to support the
prescription.

Nothing in this thread exonerates orange tweet for his negligence. Cuomo now also assumes any such downside risk.

more then even that. Oz said he;s collecting data on all lupus patients who were on hydroxychloroquine.
only 1 he could find got it -and he didn't take the med all the time

Oz is trying to get records and examine a much large pool to see if that holds up

That is very, very true. In the health care field we see that all the time with ppl who have CHD, diabetes, hypertension, etc. Rather than making unpleasant lifestyle changes (maintaining a normal weight, eating healthier, exercise, etc.) they internally shrug their shoulders and figure there's a pill for everything. And pills for the side effects of the first pills! It's shocking when you see ppl my kids' ages (30s and 40s) taking a half dozen or more prescription meds daily. These aren't meds to treat a transient condition -- they are lifetime medications. It's sad.
 
On March 23, 2020 Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak signed a State of Emergency Declaration barring Nevada's doctors from prescribing the anti-malaria drugs chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine for use against COVID-19.

According to Concordia Pharmaceuticals Inc, Nevada's Department of Corrections ordered a large quantity of their anti-malaria Hydroxychloroquine drug under the name Plaquenli.

Nevada's prisons have reported no confirmed cases of prisoners infected with the COVID 19 virus to date.

The Nevada Board of Pharmacies and the governor claimed the order barring doctors from prescribing the drug was to "stop hoarding".

Gov. Sisolak refused to reverse his order even after the FDA issued an emergency order earlier this week approving the drug for use against COVID 19.

I cannot speak for the fake Christians who post on message boards, but my life experieces with Christians in the Eastern Orthodox and Quaker traditions always gave me the impression that gratuitous cursing and vile language are generally unacceptable, frowned upon, and inconsistent with a genuine and devout Christian faith
