Never lived there but have visited DC several times. Once, for a year, from Triangle, VA in 1979 and then once a year for a week from 1999 to 2010. A few odd visits in there too. I really like the history, the monuments and the museums. My wife has never been and I'd like to take her in early Spring when the Cherry Blossoms are blooming....and the kids are still in school....and it's not 100 fucking degrees with mobs of people. LOL

In July-August, it's as bad as fucking Florida. I was there for the winter of 1978-1979. A huge blizzard shut everything down for a few days. I've usually tried to avoid winters there ever since but ended up flying in to Reagan a few times.

I do miss seasons. It's like Bermuda here. So what's it gonna be today. Sunny calm 75. I think DC heat/humidity is actually worse than FLA somehow.
Maybe its because you have to wear nice clothes downtown.

Afternoon thundershowers keep the humidity high but stir the air in Florida than DC. It's also a matter of concrete. The temperature will drop 10 degrees when I drive from DFW airport, surrounded by concrete, out into the country for 90 minutes. The elevations are the same, it's just less concrete holding in the heat.
