DACA Deal Likely Dead

very disheartening..Infrastructure repair would add jobs now and GDP later..
DACA needs to be taken up by Congress ( it's basically unconstititional as is,and unstable for the DREAMERS as well)

nobody really cares about governing anymore.. sad!

Of course they want it as a campaign issue. Obama could have gotten any immigration bill he wanted when the Democrats had control of the House and a filibuster proof majority in the Senate. But they didn't bother. The obvious reason is immigration is a wedge issue that they can use like a cudgel to beat Republicans and call them racist. The Democrats will NEVER reform our immigration system. The issue is just too valuable to them politically. They'll be perfectly content to let the DREAMers twist in the wind for a couple more years.

Apparently people doing something illegal isn't an issue for you. Seems the majority also thought electing a black based on the color of his skin wasn't an issue. When it turned out that he was a failure, they did all they could to overlook and/or justify his actions. Much like with illegals.
 
one last thought..
DACA kids need a path to citizenship..you can't have what are essentially Americans ( raised here) relegated to a 2nd class status.

There is plenty of bipartisan blame to go around here

No they don't. Under the law they are illegal, PERIOD.

If the kids of a bank robber were in possession of money a parent had stolen 20 years ago, would you let them keep it? They had nothing to do with the robbery and having that money is all they've ever known. In the case of the illegals and the case of the bank robber's kids, both have what they have as a direct result of a crime.

2. Dem Congress never fixed the harsh Fedreal MJ laws.
3. Dem Congress never fixed the Federal laws regarding children of illegals

The bases did the ACA and tax reform- but these are not just base issues..

I mentioned these are bi-partisan issues that require 60 votes..is that "whining?" maybe to a base partisan such as your self.

I am whining/decrying the inability of the parties to come to any areas of agreement where they BOTH want things done, but that's hardly restricted to a filibuster when they can't even agree on the basics of a bill,and are not interested in problem solving

Have you no understanding that DC operates on deals?

Both sides have common interests on doing immigration reform- they have diverging interests
but the way to satisfy both sides interests is by doing deals..it's how DC has always operated
