The fact of the matter is if you cannot have a political discussion without dropping C-bombs you probably shouldn't be posting. Then when the talk turns personal nothing positive is going to come of it.

If you just got here click on the now closed 'Chris Christie: Pig' thread and you can see his speech where he refers to a woman as sweetheart. Another video was found of Obama as a Senator where he refers to a female reporter as sweetie. Hence the which term is more offensive discussion.
I have known many people who frequently address the opposite sex with pet names such as sweetie. They don't intend it as offensive or condecending. I don't do this, but I can see how really warm, fuzzy people get to be like that, because I am the kind of guy who gets a sort of emotional boost everytime I see a woman smiling.
Go ask your mother if she likes her clients or colleagues calling her sweetie or sweetheart, hon or baby, or if she might find it a bit offensive. Would you call your boss sweetie?
