MSNBC host Chris Matthews on Friday declared Sen. John McCain just an “angry” Vietnam veteran who’s having a “flashback” for his sharp questioning of defense secretary nominee Chuck Hagel.

Then he goes on to say, McCain harbored “a resentment not against the North Vietnamese who imprisoned and tortured him all those years, not against George W. Bush and his political henchmen who tried to stain McCain’s reputation back in 2000

I wonder wtf he thinks he is doing accusing McCain of having "flashbacks".......

Another example of reality, they do exactly what they accuse others of doing and don't even know it....or don't care.

The point should be clear to you, its despicable to smear McCain like this for asking hard questions at a congressional hearing,...thats his freakin' job.

There's got to be a point somewhere that even partisan hacks must draw the line in using personal smears against the opposition....
Flashbacks, indeed....this war hero, who has suffered more at the hands of our enemies than an asshole, peace corps pussy like Matthews could imagine in his
wildest nightmare, especially doesn't deserve this treatment by the likes of him.

A couple of points. I think it is fair to ask about McShamnesty's motivations given he gave Kerry a pass on these same issues. I think it is clear that he is bitter over Hagel backing Obama in 2008. So I think that is fair game.

The lesson here is that McShamnesty and all republicans should learn that you will never curry favor with left wing loons like Hissyfit Matthews. He loved McShamnesty until he ran for President.
