Darwin Presents Another Swift Boot To The Lifeless, Bloody Corpse Of The Idea Of God!

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

You can believe or not believe in what ever you wish and it doesn't bother me one iota.

As to your statement of where your belief begins, please show me where I've intruded on your belief. :good4u:

A good portion of the top 100 books that people try to get banned in this country come from objections by the religious nutbags. That's one place you idiots try to tread on me.

Sarah Pailin tried to get one of those books banned from a library in Wasila for religious reasons.

There's no shortage of examples of you religious types trying to trample on everyone else, then turning around and saying, "Whaaa? What'd I ever do to you? Respect my beliefs!"

Were they banned??

Were they banned??

Where?

Some libraries remove them due to public pressure. That's why you idiots go and put the pressure on the libraries to remove them. Your favorite thing to do is try to get them removed from school libraries, where their dangerous ideas might get to your kids and undo your brainwashing.

Keep the fuck out of my life and away from my kids with your stupidity.

PLease tell me the name of just one book, that you want to read, that you are unable to do so; because of a ban??

The Book Your Church Doesn't Want You To Read (1995) by Tim C. Leedom, Editor

The book traces astrological and mythical origins of modern day western religions. A Barnes & Noble bookstore in San Diego refused to stock this book because of its content.

Are you trying to say that because one bookstore doesn't/won't carry a book, that this equates to being banned.

Since you obviously refuse to look elsewhere, I've gone and found where you can get it.

E-Bay has it for $12.57 + 3>98 shipping and handling.

No-no; don't thank me.
That look of undying gratitued is more then enough. :good4u:

I don't understand the argument you're trying to make. The fact that I can find a book on the internet doesn't excuse the efforts of people who attempt to get them banned from libraries or bookstores to make them as inaccessible as possible.

Palin trying to get a book banned from the library is a problem because it means people have to go pay $12.57 plus shipping on Amazon to get a copy. It's censorship, and it's inexcusable in a free society.

So what the hell are you trying to say? As long as a book isn't banned nationally it's okay to ban them from individual libraries?

People can try to do anything, it doesn't mean they're going to be successfull at it.
Just look at yourself.
You were trying to convince me that books had been banned and LO AND BEHOLD, I was able to help you find one that you wanted.

Idiot, I didn't say books were banned in the sense that you're trying to characterize. You idiots DO get certain books banned from libraries, limiting access to reading material you dislike. That's called censorship and it's religion's favorite game to play. And it's not okay in America to be doing it, even though you idiots continue to do so.

It's only the most perfect example of how you idiots don't stop with just individual faith and it's precisely the answer to the question of why religion is so dangerous. It isn't just a personal belief when you go and remove books from library shelves for everyone else.

No he doesn't. His knife cuts both ways. Just because he believes in god, does not prove there is a god. And proofs, in any form are not created to disprove shit, you cannot prove a negative. If you say there is a god then you must prove it, or do like most and accept it on faith. So long as your faith ends where my atheism begins.

I love how these debates always progress....it begins with an atheist denying the existence of a deity and ends with an atheist complaining that believers should realize they can't prove her existence and should stop bringing it up.....never once does the atheist admit that they brought it up and that they also have no proof for their beliefs.......

reflect on the title of this thread and recognize that no atheist has provided evidence of the corpse of God.........

First of all, Palin never tried to get a book banned. That was just another smear from the left.

no, you were trying to say that books were banned in some form of fantasy sense....because it doesn't actually happen, but it makes your argument sound cooler if you can pretend it does.....

Once again; tell me a book that has been "banned" that you want to read.
I've already helped you find one and I don't mind looking for one more.
Could you also tell me what books I'VE banned, seeing as how you want to hold me personally responsible. :good4u:

Then she shouldn't even have indulged in hypotheticals.

"According to the Anchorage Daily News, around the time Sarah Palin first assumed the mayorship of Wasilla back in 1996, she initiated some speculative discussions with the city's librarian about the possibility of removing some "objectionable" books from the public library:
In December 1996, [city librarian Mary Ellen] Emmons told her hometown newspaper, the Frontiersman, that Palin three times asked her — starting before she was sworn in — about possibly removing objectionable books from the library if the need arose."

That which may be asserted without evidence, may be dismissed without evidence.

Approximately 172,000 new titles are published in the US every year. 206,000 in the UK. Someone is practicing censorship otherwise libraries would be bigger than cities in a few years! In this case the librarians 'choice' might be my 'censorship'!
