Dec 7th. Pearl Harbor Day. Sadly Overshadowed By Greater Daily Corona Deaths.

Diversity Makes Greatness
This is the day we remember, the Day of Infamy, when the Japanese Imperial Navy attacked the US Base at Pearl Harbor.

"The Attack on Pearl Harbor[nb 3][11] was a surprise military strike by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service upon the United States (a neutral country at the time) against the naval base at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, just before 08:00, on Sunday morning, December 7, 1941. The attack led to the United States' formal entry into World War II the next day. The Japanese military leadership referred to the attack as the Hawaii Operation and Operation AI,[12][13] and as Operation Z during its planning.[14] Japan intended the attack as a preventive action to keep the United States Pacific Fleet from interfering with its planned military actions in Southeast Asia against overseas territories of the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and the United States. Over the course of seven hours there were coordinated Japanese attacks on the U.S.-held Philippines, Guam, and Wake Island and on the British Empire in Malaya, Singapore, and Hong Kong.[15]

The attack commenced at 7:48 a.m. Hawaiian Time (18:18 GMT).[nb 4][16] The base was attacked by 353[17] Imperial Japanese aircraft (including fighters, level and dive bombers, and torpedo bombers) in two waves, launched from six aircraft carriers.[17] Of the eight U.S. Navy battleships present, all were damaged, with four sunk. All but USS Arizona were later raised, and six were returned to service and went on to fight in the war. The Japanese also sank or damaged three cruisers, three destroyers, an anti-aircraft training ship,[nb 5] and one minelayer. A total of 188 U.S. aircraft were destroyed; 2,403 Americans were killed and 1,178 others were wounded.[19]"

Attack on Pearl Harbor - (Wiki)

Ordinarily we remember this day each year as a day when a great number of Americans died.

Now, we have been conditioned to accept greater numbers of American deaths as just another day.

That's the power of cult mentality.

Daily reminder we should have supported, not opposed, Japanese actions in China and that nothing happened in Nanjing, but it should have.

For all these years we have somberly remembered a terrible day for the United States and the world.

Now, we are being conditioned to accept greater horrors on any given day.

All because of one inflated ego and someone who is, basically, a foolish spoiled brat who never had to work a day in his life, wouldn't know which end of a hammer to grab.

What we are seeing is how wrong greed is; and how much destruction it can cause in a productive society.

One individual who thinks he is so special he should always get his way has fooled a large segment of society to give him everything he wants, and the problem is he doesn't even know what he wants.

And the rest of us have been taken along for the ride on a trip from a functioning society to a breakdown of valuable institutions.

Fortunately, We The People, have spoken and the message we have sent is we have had enough.

No other American president has sought to separate the American people

To support trump is to tear this nation asunder

For 79 years we have somberly remembered this day as a day of terrible tragedy, a day of lessons, a day to think about what we are doing and how it affects us.

And now we are seeing greater tragedy on a regular basis.

Apparently, we have some more lesson-learning to do.

Will Trump even observe it? Do anything?

Those that support trump are responsible for believing lies

I have tried and tried to tell them the truth

At some point they become responsible for their actions

Hello Phantasmal,

Will Trump even observe it? Do anything?

If he has anything to do with Arizona today it won't be about the great battleship which still lies at the bottom of Pearl Harbor and is remembered for the 1177 men who died that day aboard her.

More likely, he would engage in further disputes of the certified Arizona election in which Joe Biden beat him.

Exactly. Ignorance is curable, but stupidity is not. tRumpanzees have proven over and over that they are simply stupid.

To me, the USS Arizona memorial is one of the most sober and moving war memorials I have ever visited.

Hello Cypress,

To me, the USS Arizona memorial is one of the most sober and moving war memorials I have ever visited.

I would like to visit that one day. The people I've talked to who have been there all say similar things to what you have reflected.

It seems that when people in power get strange ideas which are not fully grounded in reality nor in service nor dedication to the populace they are charged with protecting, the result is tragedy.

Yes, the deaths of the 2403 Americans that died in the attack of Pearl Harbor was a very horrible tragedy. I think we all agree on that!

Yesterday, more Americans died of the Corona Virus, and I do not see any of the Trumptards here today talking about what a tragedy that is.

I WONDER WHY?

Yes, we know you liberals are giving China a pass for covering up their virus. Nothing new here, folks...

I don't think anyone is giving China a Free pass on anything. America does not have to rely on what Chinese officials have to say about the virus as we have shoes on the ground in Wu, working in the Wu research labs. We do rely on them to report to us what is going on with pandemic break outs etc. That is how we get our information on Asian flu's and virus's!

So your point is kinda moot and falls a little flat!
