I don't know what you mean about socialist/anarchist protest. There was a Tea Party demonstration here last week, along with counter-protesters and it was in the newspaper and on the local news.

As far as the email, I'm more curious about how the media got hold of it. Maybe one of her recipients tipped them off?

Bush parents were usually left alone, one or two catty remarks about Barbara occasionally....just as Obamas parents are a non-issue.....
Its was mostly bullshit disparaging his daughters for drinking underage.... and the crazies saying Laura purposely killed her schoolmate in an auto accident caused by her.

We know Gores kids were busted for drugs but the media and ringers didn't harp on it ..... that shit died as news in one day....Some other kids of Dems had drug problems too, but I don't even remember them now....
Obama and his country of birth is more of his own making than far-right 'birthers'.....he could bury that issue in 5 seconds but he won' or can't for his own reasons....maybe he just likes being mysterious....

So please explain why it's okay to call liberals these names but not okay to post a thread showing that the dumb tea party supporter/elected politician makes comments just as nasty as those in bravo's thread.

I think people need to point out, when you try to illustrate 'racism' by complaining about a caricature or cartoon, on the basis of what kind of animals are used, it illustrates your own bigoted stereotypes, because you obviously thought there was some connection being made. If this person had sent an email saying she thought Obama was of an inferior race, or that black people were akin to monkeys, that would be a racist statement, that would be racism, and I would denounce it along with everyone else. What she sent was a cartoon, a caricature... Just as Bush's features lent themselves well to depicting him as a chimp or monkey, so are Obama's. Why is one 'racist' and the other is not? Isn't because of a PERCEPTION... a stereotype... something rolling around in YOUR mind about it?

I was referring to the protest depicted in Bravo's thread.

My point is the media rarely covers leftist protests that turn hateful/violent.
 
good lord....why are lefties like christie such wussies? apparently obama is such a weakling that no one can use a monkey to depict him, but using a monkey to depict bush is a good thing, and because the left like christie are most likely closet racists.....they have to use the race card when someone compares obama to a monkey. lord forbid obama stand on his own....the left must exploit his half black heritage in order to score cheap political points.

You totally missed the point; as expected due to your intellectual dishonesty. Libs made fun of Bush because he looked like a monkey, conservatives can now make fun of The Obama because he looks like a monkey. Now explain to me how either is racist.

Not a racist ?..well, hes no Louis Farrakhan Muhammad .....but, I'll go out on a limb and speculate that this dude stepped over the line more that once in his rant.......so he doesn't speak for me or any Conservative that I know.....

At the same time he had some legitimate gripes that need further debate but it won't happen here because the fear of being labeled racist has reached a bizarre level....
the fear is so profound that many problems are just ignored or their existence is denied rather than risk being branded a racist....so the problems continue and grow....political correctness is now what governs our once cherished free speech....
And that is the state of the union....

So I'll say it again so there is no mis-understanding..... he doesn't speak for me or any Conservative that I know.....
 
This isn't an image I will attach myself to by trying to defend it or attempting to find some moral equivalency. Two wrongs don't make anything right, and this is definitely a path we shouldn't trod.

Actually I let the article speak for itself. The GOP criticized one of their own for sending the email. Apparently somebody she thought she could trust released it to the media.
