A liberal these days is not a true liberal. The term liberal has been hijacked by the haters of American culture, the Constitution, and Christianity, and lovers of big controlling govt. Marxists would be a more appropriate term.
A conservative is one who believes in American exceptionalism, American traditional culture and Judeo/Christian values. That's for starters.
I can easily take off on that premise.

Liberal: Believes that government spending can solve any problem, just keep on tossing money at it and eventually the problem will be pushed onto future generations
Conservative: (note: NOT Republican) believes that we should pay our own way rather than continually amassing more debt and unfunded liabilities only to push them off on future generations.
Socially:
Liberal: believes equal rights apply to all humans (except those that are unborn) regardless of race, gender, religion or sexual orientation.... and as long as the person is liberal fiscally and socially.... otherwise they are uncle Toms/race traitors/subhuman etc....
Conservative: believes it is ok to discriminate as long as it is done under the guise of 'my religion told me to', they then provide some lame ass excuse as to how it somehow harms them even though they can never provide any evidence to support such a claim. There only saving grace is that they do support the rights of the unborn to actually have a shot at living rather than being brutally murdered.
I expected betteer from you SF, I am disappointed. This is the type of answer I would expect from bravo or yurt.

Liberal: believes in freedom for all to be free from everything, including responsibility, so long as none of those freedoms provide another individual with the possibility that they could use it to harm another living human being or animal.
conservative: believes in freedom for all as long as they are US citizens and that the freedom they have doesn't impede the US Government from enforcing any law it wants to or any law it feels is necessary to deter terrorism that would affect a global economic entity.

Very naive and expected.
Twisting and manipulating is the lefty game plan. Playing on emotions and the con game. Conservatives give a helping hand up so people can learn to take care of themselves. Lefties give a hand out to keep people dependent on social policies so they will vote their interests and keep democrats in power.
The lefty will claim conservatives hate government. The truth is conservatives understand the constitutional role of government. Big difference, but the lefty will lie and manipulate the facts and the truth. Look at this thread.
