Your police are taking early retirements. Your wannabe Mayor has shut down entire departments. He is not replacing police that are leaving. You can keep telling yourself it is not a problem. There is a reason NYC murder and crime rate has gone through the roof. Criminals know the reality of the cuts better than you. Their next target. Dumb fuck. And by the way, there are 36,000 police in NYC. Do you know anything at all?

No one is denying these events are happening, just not happening the right wing media is portraying them, we aren't experiencing the Armageddon they would like us to believe inorder to set up Trump's Law and Order theme

Its called defunding. The people that will suffer the most are the poorest people. The NYPD has already disbanded the 600 member anti crime unit. That 600 cops that weren't riding a desk and were taking care of gang violence etc. I pity the poor people who just want to live a peaceful honest life. More blacks will die not less.

Actually yes there are people denying this is happening, and they are ITT. And I've said nothing about Trump or Biden. The article makes no reference to Trump or Biden. This is happening at the local level. And if you have any misconceptions the San Francisco Chronicle is not right-wing media. In fact it's the opposite. A simple google search of defund the police turns up articles from the NY Times, NPR, Bookings and other liberal publications discussing the topic. You may not want to talk about it but don't try and deny it's out there.

Wait a minute, didn't I author the prefatory statement that no one is denying these events are happening, and I have no clue on ITT. It is happening, but not the way the right is portraying it, as suddenly, police aren't getting paid, that their salary is going to be cut, layoffs will be enormous, cities are being torn apart, the four horsemen are due at any time now, etc., etc., etc

Again as I said, and you even repeated, local levels are looking at ways to redefine the role of police in their community, many feel that some situations don't need a guy with a gun showing up to resolve them

Unbelievable, OK, NYC is eliminating the NYPD, existing cops are never going to get paid again, the city is falling apart, riots everywhere, Trump Tower is being sieged as we talk, the Four Horsemen are due any minute now, and only Trump can save the day
