Dem plants at debate?

I don't think there should be Republicans asking questions at Democratic debates and I don't think there should be Democrats asking questions at Republican debates.

I imagine the YouTube format makes it difficult to weed out the moles but it shouldn't happen.

Really? Why not?

The way I feel, and I am no Hillary supporter, As long as the guy really is a retired Army colonel, so what? Did the guy serve honorably? Is he gay? Then he has a freaking right to ask anyone running for President the question. CNN should have revealed it if he is actually officially connected to the Hillary campaign. But the bottom line is, you don’t give up your citizenship when you become politically active. And if he served, he served.

It's the primaries. The Democrats select their candidate and the Republicans select their candidate. Republicans aren't voting in the Democratic primary (generally) and vice versa. It should be an intramural affair.

Ok I see your reasoning. But even so, I’d like a President who can communicate to people outside of his party this time around. And I think a President should be able to speak about issues that their particular base doesn’t want to hear about.

I think what Dung is saying is that people who ask questions at opposite parties primary debates are almost certainly just looking to ask questions that are designed to embarass or attack a candidate, rather than present genuine voter concerns.

CNN is fairly biased to the left, just like most of the major media except Fox. The Repubs should have put their debate on Fox, which is more popular by the numbers anyway.

Actually CNN is fairly right wing. Have you seen some of the pundits on CNN (not talking about the political operatives of the GOP/DEM i.e. Paul Begala)

Lou Dobbs
Howard Kurtz
Gloria Berger
Glen Beck

And these are supposed to be the non-partisan personalities...

Yeah ok Dano. If you’re so upset by it send one of your ringers over to the next Dem debate. I don’t’ want another President, of EITHER PARTY, who whines about “it wassss a triccccck question” “it wasn’t faaaiiiiiirrr”.
I want someone who can handle themselves. Keep your little crybabies in Texas this time, wouldya?

Lou Dobbs is a populist who is only "right" on one issue. Glenn Beck was hired to attempt to negate their reputation of being lefty. I have no idea who Gloria Berger is, or that other guy. But four people on a network that airs how many makes it lean right? Especially when one of the ones you list isn't even a righty? Man you are desperate.

Lou Dobbs votes for George W Bush twice...

He also got called on his Republican bias by several commentators including Terry McCalluff

Their "reputation" for being lefties is a bunch of poopaganda BS that we call "working the refs".

Dobbs once described himself as a "lifelong Republican,"[20]

he made a donation of $1,000 to the Bush-Cheney campaign in January 2001

Damocles owned.

Hmm... I'm reading up, it seems I had the wrong impression of Dobbs. It still doesn't change that four people in a lineup of many do not make the whole thing lean in that direction. FOX leans, MSNBC leans, CNN, less lean but definitely a bit left of center.

Can you link me to his "lifelong republican" remark? I can't find it. I am reasonably sure that Dobbs is a registered Democrat who touts immigration reform.

As I said, I could be wrong but believe that I am correct on this one.

It makes it difficult? You mean, like, them hand selecting and pruning the questions themselves? Yes, very difficult.
