Democracy or Fascism

Calling them Nazis since the 90s is a start.

But they are Nazis. Literally.

not that I expect someone in grade school, if even born at the time, would recall all the bullshit that started after the Cold War ended.

You're just not that reliable when it comes to recounting the past, like here:

Calling them Nazis since the 90s is a start

Who was calling the GOP Nazis in the 90's? Where is your source?

In the end, like most problems in America, it was "follow the money".

OK so when asked how the Democrats lied about the GOP, the best you could do was invent something someone said -not even a quote- in the 90's that just so happened to confirm what you were saying.

What Democrats were calling the GOP Nazis in the 1990's?

Major bucks were spent out of the US treasury for the Cold War. Moving from a "cold war" economy to a "peacetime" economy was a major political fight. The Republicans lost, and then we had 9/11.

No, it wasn't a major political fight...it was simply the GOP opposing a tax increase that eventually led to a balanced budget and surplus.

And when they took full control in 2001, they promptly cut taxes, erased a surplus, and then gave us TWO recessions in 6 years.

Notice how in everything I just wrote here, I didn't invent anything about you, I didn't invoke things about myself, I just made an agnostic argument about the facts.

I don't.

I don't feel the need to try and invent things about the people I'm debating with in order to discredit an argument I cannot refute.

I stick to the subject, whereas you and all the other morons try to find out personal things about me to ridicule because you can't ridicule the arguments I'm making.

It's all about you trying to save face, it's fucking pathetic and you need a new tactic.

Interesting reply. Are you saying you don't give a shit about understanding what the person in which you are conversing is like?

The number one cause of conflicts is misunderstanding. Often prejudging. Jumping to conclusions. People who react emotionally instead of logically. It's okay to be emotional, just be logical first before risking harm to yourself or others.

https://www.vilendrerlaw.com/five-main-causes-conflict-mediation-can-resolve/
There are five main causes of conflict: information conflicts, values conflicts, interest conflicts, relationship conflicts, and structural conflicts.

Information conflicts arise when people have different or insufficient information, or disagree over what data is relevant. Allowing sufficient time to be heard, in a respectful environment facilitated by a neutral person can allow parties to clear up information disparities.

On JPP, the "neutral party", ha ha, is the forum itself. Only idiots and the irrational don't understand their words are read and judged by others.

I already know everything about you that I need to know because you just can't shut the fuck up.

What I don't do is invent things about you or patronize you...I very easily COULD, but I won't because I don't need to.

It's amazing how free you feel to make arguments when you don't have to make shit up about the person you're debating.

Thanks for the reply. It was informative.

My apologies for not being a fan of text wall responses but will do my best:
I'm blaming all the alcohol. The 80s and 90s were rough.

That's in the 2000s, dear. Completely agreed the Republicans, under Bush the Lesser, made the rich richer and drove up the national debt by cutting taxes, mainly for the rich, and increasing spending.

Why does it bother you that people, naturally, form opinions of others? Isn't the main point that individuals are open to others, not that they'll eventually form opinions of others?

You and I have had several conversations with one another. Why do you think I wouldn't form an opinion of your nature over all of those conversations?

See? You do it too.

Why does that bother you?

OK, but the subject we're talking about is the accusation you made about the Democrats lying about Republicans, so how does this have anything to do with that?

OK, so then you wanna take that whole thing about "the Democrats calling the GOP Nazis" back?

Why? They did.

Do you want to admit you weren't reading newspapers very much in those days?

When did you stop reading newspapers and exclusively read online? Or is the answer "as if ever!"?

Why does it bother you that people, naturally, form opinions of others? Isn't the main point that individuals are open to others, not that they'll eventually form opinions of others?

What bothers me are baseless BoTHSiDeRiSt claims like "Democrats lie about Republicans", and then you never post any proof of that, and then change the subject to avoid accountability when confronted.

OK, but the subject we're talking about is the accusation you made about the Democrats lying about Republicans, so how does this have anything to do with that?

Duh. Are you saying no Democrat, ever, has lied about the Republicans? Don't you find that to be a bit extreme, dear?

You said that "Democrats lie about Republicans" and when asked to prove it, you stall.

You said that back in the 90's, Democrats were calling Republicans Nazis...so who was doing that? Where are the quotes? Where are the sources? You said yourself that the 80's/90's were rough for you, so how could you possibly accurately remember what strangers said back then?

Nevermind the fact that the GOP literally nominates Nazis. Literally.

The world is not black and white, dear. Yes, there are cowboys with white hats and those in black hats, but most are just minding their own fucking business.

Claiming the Democrats are the shining, white knights and claiming the Republicans are all evil, black knights puts you in the same category as the RWNJ geezers albeit younger and female.

Why? They did.

You sure about that? Where's the proof?

Do you want to admit you weren't reading newspapers very much in those days?

Why don't you find a newspaper story from those days that confirms all of this?

Because you said yourself that period was rough, so how can you be expected to accurately remember things from 30+ years ago?

Isn't it possible you're just making this shit up since you made a BoTHSiDEs argument and can't go back now because I'll make a big deal about it?

No idea what you're talking about, but it seems to be "Oh, does me acting like a jackass trash person TRIGGER YOU?"

I guess it does because I expect more out of you than that.

LOL. My apologies if that's what I inadvertently conveyed, but thanks for the feedback.

I'm an old man. What more do you expect out of me, LV?

Duh. Are you saying no Democrat, ever, has lied about the Republicans?

YOU SAID that Democrats called Republicans Nazis in the 90's, and you have yet to provide even one shred of proof of that.

Your memory is not proof, and it's also not reliable because you also said you drank during that time.

So what is going on with you? Because this is sloppy even for you.

The world is not black and white, dear. Yes, there are cowboys with white hats and those in black hats, but most are just minding their own fucking business.

So you ran your big mouth and had nothing to back it up, so you're now trying to get buy-in to your claim that Democrats lie about Republicans even though the one thing you did mention had no source.

So do Democrats lie about Republicans? Not based on anything you've written here.
