Democrat wins special election

Trump carried the district by 11 points.
Okay.
She won the election by about the same.
Okay.
You idiots will not understand the message .
There is no "message" other than special elections are not general elections.
Trump is losing voter support.
No, he isn't. If anything, he is GAINING voter support.
He is alarming the voter base with his terrible dictatorship actions.
:rofl2:

Republican voters registration is going up and Democrat voter registration is going down.

Iowa used to frequently vote for Democratic presidential candidates, it would be nice if Democrats learned some lessons about winning in the Midwest.

DEI and transitioning children are the key.

democrats need to get the message out that they will end private home ownership and socialize grocery stores.

Make America Mandistan!

Yup. Nowadays, Democrats have to resort to cheating in order to "win" in the Midwest since they've openly kicked the common working man to the curb in favor of illegal aliens. That's also why numerous unions (including the Teamsters) are now endorsing Republican candidates instead of Democrats.

The Republican Party (specifically the MAGA movement) is now the perceived party of the common working man (in addition to actually being so).

The GOP still has an overwhelming majority.
But the super majority is gone.
No that they are cheering for a special election state level victory where the Republicans were not worried about losing their majority. Democrats poured outside money into the race and Republicans did not. Democrats were desperate for any kind of a win no matter how minor. The Republicans weren't worried about losing control of the state Senate.
Political parties are always worried about losing. Democrat spending was mainly for political ads that evidently were convincing. Expect more of the same in coming elections.

What shows how desperate they are? The fact that they won?

That doesn't make sense.

I'd interpret this more as an early sign that things will balance out a bit more in '26. Americans aren't big on one-party rule.
I'm not sure why you think that special elections are general elections.

Kim Reynolds is a Republican. There is no need for a super majority. The next election will likely return the Iowa Senate to a super majority.

Um then why is the Democrat party trying to register Democrat voters
Probably the same reason Republican and Independent parties want to try to register voters. So they'll vote for their party, but because there are seldom "Independant" front-runners for president, they "I's" need to choose either an "R" or a "D" candidate. For example, the Independant's who voted in Biden in 2020, voted in trump in 2024.

You should know this shit already, but I'm ok if I have a few minutes to explain life to you.
