1. I never said I "hated" the Anthem, that's you putting words in my mouth. I said I don't see the point of playing it at sporting events. I bet you don't know the history of why it's played then.

I think the Pledge is okay for the military or those in government but should not be a requirement in schools or anywhere else. IMO there's no reason to start five- and six-year olds reciting words they don't understand in front of a flag. Twelve years of constant repetition makes it meaningless, as many people will tell you. We live in a free country, not a dictatorship.

3. Why shouldn't we all care about blacks and other people of color being oppressed? Kaepernick touched a nerve and made a lot of people uncomfortable with his honesty. He had a 1st Amendment right to protest and those people who forced him out of a job and then blackballed him are the exact people he was talking about. If you want to think nobody's oppressed in America, knock yourself out. You guys made Kaepernick a hate symbol for speaking truth to power. You were wrong then and you're still wrong now.

2. Again, we did it when we were kids. In HS, they played the National Anthem as a late bell. No big deal. It hasn't hurt us, has it?

3. We do care. We might not know what Kaepernick had against his white parents, but for some reason, he wanted to start a race war. And he did...
