the anti gun zealots and gun hating democrats have been lying out their ass about who commits the majority of mass shootings and/or school shootings

In 2022, only 3% of known school shooters were White. The majority (52%) were committed by the Black demographic

 
When we look at mass school shootings, where at least 5 people were harmed or killed, we find only a third were committed by White people since the turn of the century

Blacks accounted for 31.4%, despite only being 13% of the population

 
When it comes to mass public shootings since 1982, Whites account for 53% according to Statista, which still shows an underrepresentation for population size (Since 1980, Whites have fallen from 80% to 60% of the U.S. population)

 
Research from Radford University showed Blacks are disproportionately represented as serial killers in every decade since 1900 & since the turn of the century, they have been the majority of serial killers despite only making up 12–13% of the population

 
90% of media coverage in the U.S. focuses on White-on-Black violence, yet according to the National Crime Victimization Survey 2021, Black people are 35 times more likely to attack a White person than the other way around.

 
We also see organisations like BLM propagate the idea that Black men are disproportionately killed at the hands of White police officers, yet in between 2017–2022, 74% of all known individuals fatally shot by the police were not Black

 
The true believers who refuse to accept that gun violence is an integral part of American culture are the truly disingenuous here.

The right to bear arms is a basic human right in America, even if this is the only place on the planet where this is true.

The framers gave the rural states more political power than their percentage of the population justifies.

In a polarized nation, amendments are impossible; this will be the fact of life for however long this republic manages to survive.

The citizens of rural states have made it perfectly clear that slaughtered children are a reasonable price to pay for the right to own assault weaponry.

All of this is self evident.

One would have to be completely incoherent to not recognize this.

The price of keeping our republic in it present configuration is bullet riddle children.

All non-partitionists, whether liberal or conservative, are supporters of this way of living.

I am a partitionist, and I frankly don't have guns laws in my top ten priorities
because I know that both sides on this issue are completely full of shit.

Interesting position, but, even if one agrees there is a right to carry arms that doesn’t mean that right can not be regulated. No Constitutional right is absolute, they are all regulated, always have been, guns are no different

however,
almost every post here suggests
that we either encourage private ownership of nuclear missiles

or

we ban popsicle sticks because they can be easily sharpened.

Seen a few in between, not an either or proposition

Personally, I’d ban certain weapons, however, see no problem with the guy who enjoys his hunting or collects guns as antiques. However, all guns should be registered, private sales restricted, and I’d even go so far as requiring liability insurance, treat guns as we do vehicles. Later ain’t happening on a national level, fine, as long as State laws don’t travel with the gun, and, importing guns to gun restrictive States is severely punished

I also favor restrictions but less severe than yours.
I categorize true sporting arms as I would golf clubs and bowling balls and skis which don't require registration.

The U.S. enjoys a very low homicide rate by guns, currently in 87th place by percentage of people killed with guns. Go look at Honduras, where guns are illegal, currently in 1st place.

Random tangent. No apparent coherency. Again, you discard the Constitution. The 'framers' as you put it, did not give anyone any political power. The States ordained the Constitution to power. Only the States have the authority to change it or abolish it.

Rights do not come from a constitution, dumbass. That is not their purpose.

The right of self defense is inherent. It is absolute. No government can take that away no matter how oppressive that government is.
You just want to discard the Constitution and all State constitutions.
