WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court has refused to lift a 30-year consent decree that bars the Republican National Committee from targeting racial and ethnic minorities in its efforts to end fraudulent voting.

The justices without comment turned down an appeal from RNC lawyers who said the decree has become “antiquated” and is “increasingly used as political weapon” by Democrats during national campaigns.

Restricting the Vote
For nearly a decade, Americans have experienced a high-pitched and often highly partisan battle over their right to vote. State lawmakers passed a wave of laws — including strict photo ID requirements, early voting cutbacks, and registration restrictions — making it harder for many citizens to vote. Following the 2016 election, President Donald Trump falsely claimed millions voted illegally, perpetuating the myth of fraud long used to justify restrictive legislation.
The Brennan Center is the nation's leading organization tracking the fight to vote. With other allies and advocates, we have been instrumental in pushing back — in the media, legislatures, at the ballot box, and the courts.
The Brennan Center continually tracks election changes in the states and provides national context and commentary on the legislative movement to restrict voting.
Representing civil rights groups, Center attorneys have helped win court rulings to block harsh voter ID laws and voter registration restrictions, which could have made it harder for hundreds of thousands to cast ballots.
We led an extensive public opinion research project on attitudes toward voting. Hundreds of organizations have used this cutting edge research to help win victories nationwide.
The national struggle over voting rights is the greatest in decades. The Brennan Center will continue to fight restrictive voting laws to safeguard our fundamental right to vote.

Voter purges are an often-flawed process of cleaning up voter rolls by deleting names from registration lists. Done badly, they can prevent eligible people from casting a ballot that counts. Well, we pretty much know how 2020 is going to play out based on what happened 2 months ago.

By the 2020 election, the country will be in a recession that will get blamed 100% on the GOP and Trump.

I predict Democratic House gains between 20-40 seats again, along with control of the US Senate.

The economy is going to kill the GOP this year and next.

So thanks for being so terrible that you'll pave the way for Medicare for All, Green Deal, and a 70% top tax rate.

Saved.

Some other priceless moronic predictions you have made:
Trump would do anything to escape accountability. I think he'll flee to Russia before he ever sets foot in a courtroom.
I think Cruz is toast.
People just hate him and his stupid, smug face.
Date 9-10-2018
I truly believe that by this time next year, we will be in a recession.
No we're not for the simple fact that Q3 and Q4 output is going to be much lower thanks to rushing to get exports out in Q2, ahead of the tariffs.
Dems pick up 40-60 House seats, 1 Senate seat, 700 state legislative seats, 10 governorships.

Thanks to how terribly Conservatives have run the country, Medicare-for-All is now a foregone conclusion, and we're seriously talking about a 70% top tax rate to pay for a Green New Deal and free public college.
