There’s certainly truth to that, no question. Party primaries are a good example. There are always some policy differences between candidates, but usually not major ones. So how do candidates set themselves apart? Personality and leadership tend to differentiate the candidates.

If we’re talking national elections, I’m reminded of Hillary Clinton’s ad I think during her primary against Obama where she asked something like, “Who do you trust to answer the phone at 3 a.m.?” She was saying that with her experience, she was the one voters should trust. That kind of message goes far beyond positions on abortion, marginal tax rates, or housing policy.

As far as “what’s in it for me,” my first thought was how often we hear, “those people are voting against their own interests.” That statement is basically saying they should view elections from a “what’s in it for me” perspective.

Wow, you finally said something that everyone already knew. Now, just for the fun of it, could you give us the name or names of
current democrats/socialists/commies that may very well lead the radical leftist party in the future? Would it be Mamdani, kamala,
AOC, newscum, or perhaps you have someone else in mind that can and will lead the commie party to the gates of hell.
