Yes you read that right 1 thousand, 900 hundred percent tax increase on beer. Note that they justify this giant increase on working Americans by saying beer costs the state money in healthcare - give up economic freedoms to leftwing Democrats and those leftwing Democrats will then go after social freedoms in the name of reducing their costs.
Also I find it cute how I had to look up the 5 morons who proposed this law to find out that they are all Democrats as the article (like many in the Liberal media) never bothers to mention as it's obviously something negative against the party.

The bill's language defends the tax by arguing alcoholism and “untreated substance abuse” costs the state $4.15 billion in lost earnings as well as more than $8 million for health care and nearly $1 billion in law enforcement-related expenditures. "
