You're parrotting GOP talking points. I'm not going to sit here and argue that there are some measures in the bill that aren't stimulative, but the bill is hardly "loaded" with them, and dollar-wise, they are a very miniscule portion of the overall effort.

The big spending & tax cuts that I have seen are stimulative, imo.

SCHIP is another fine example of this. SCHIP is going to create a HUGE market for Black Market cigarettes that are not going to be taxed at all. a 24 dollar per pound tax on cigarette tobacco is going to hit poor working people, (supposedly the dems base) much harder than it will me, and my cigars. I will at worst see a 75 cent increase in my cigars while cigarettes will go up 3 to 4 bucks. It is a regressive tax at it's worst and it won't stop people from smoking, it will only stop them from smoking taxed cigarettes.

First, five democrats in Oregon have proposed this bill that may or may not increase the tax as alleged by the brewers' guild. Suddenly, "Dems" in general in "so many places start taxing the shit outta everything." Meanwhile, the article is about five Democrats that haven't taxed anything anywhere.

Then, "All of their supporters pretend like it is nothing" when (a) I don't know who these Oregon state reps and senator are let along support them, (b) I haven't really seen anyone supporting this move, and (c) IT IS NOTHING.

This is followed up by repeating something as fact that may or may not be true: that the beer tax is being increased by 1900%. Just because someone says something does not make it so.

And to top it off we get some emo shit about guns and nanny-statism.

I understand the rationale for speaking out against this bill and I actually agree with speaking out against this bill. The trouble is extrapolating from these five lawmakers in Oregon to Democrats writ large. That's just plain lazy and dishonest.
