Demonstration Of How Face Masks Work In Slow Motion

1. So what? That has nothing to do with what I posted.

2. You operate more, much more, on faith than you do actual knowledge which has been accumulated over the years so here's your crown of thorns, wear it with pride.

You are an absolute and total idiot who's pretending to be smart.

I don't think anyone ever asked if Farting could spread the virus!

But based on the same concept of prophylactics, Thank God we have to wear pants out in public- Or these assholes that fart on crowded elevators could be spreading the virus!

OH SNAP!!!

I hope I didn't just give some Trumptard the idea he can now yank his pants and underoos off and go out in public to protest the mitigation process.

Nope I haven't. I am just pulling shit out of my ass.
Correct. You are.

BTW, nobody says that the face masks are 100% effective.
You don't speak for "everybody else"; you only speak for you. YOU are saying that face masks aren't 100% effective (at what, exactly?)

They help to slow down the virus. That's the point.
Masks do not "slow down" a virus.

That and social distancing and disinfecting.
Social distancing does not "slow down" a virus either.

Surgeons wear masks to help keep the surgical site sterile. They do not wear masks to stop viruses.

So you've demonstrated that you don't know what the fuck the world "sterile" means. And I'm not talking about your blessed inability to reproduce....

Nothing "stops" the virus. The facemasks slow it down, and this beyond dispute.
What good would be accomplished from "slowing down" a virus?? Regardless of how fast or slow it travels, it is still getting into the air and getting onto surfaces.

Glad you asked.

A virus only survives inside a host until (a) the host dies or (b) the immune system of the host kills it.

Provided the virus is never spread from a given host, the virus will die. Period. It has no choice but to die within 1 month or less.

If the spread of the virus is slowed, the chances of each one of us getting it drops, eventually to zero, provided the virus is never spread outside the host during that 3 weeks - 1 month timeframe. During that timeframe, either the host or the virus will die, and when that timeframe is over, it's impossible to spread the virus.

Wearing masks allows people -- even infected people -- to go outside, go to the grocery store, hardware store, etc., and limit the chances of it spreading to another host, thereby limiting the timeframe that will pass before the virus expires within a given population. We know this because masks and social distancing in New Zealand and Australia and other places totally eliminated community spread (new outbreaks happened there when people from other places arrived and spread the virus -- probably Americans).

This is basic logic in addition to being epidemiological science.

Airborne viruses, such as covid-19, can also survive intact outside of a host for some time (depends on the conditions of the particular area).

It is going to spread. It is currently all over in the air.

Mask wearing does not stop viruses, nor slow the spread of viruses, nor reduce risk of infection.

Why does mask wearing only allow people to go to big conglomerate stores (such as Walmart) and not allow them to go to mom and pop shops and other small businesses? Does covid only target small business and not large conglomerates?

No, it is fake news as well as a denial of virology, immunology, and engineering.

It is going to spread. It is currently all over in the air.

Only for a few hours, at the absolute most, and pretty much never outside.

Are you really this dense?

Mask wearing does not stop viruses,

With some exceptions, no one ever said it did.

This is just patently false, and you're fucking dumb.

Don't know what shithole you live in, but where I live, small businesses are open provided you wear a mask. And I live in Oregon, with some of the most rigorous restrictions in the country. Stop believing the bullshit from the crocodile-tear having hillbillies on Parler.

Fake news.

Everyone who uses this term is a bona fide moron.

EVERYONE.
