dems fear mongering mass election

How could that be fearmongering if most people are so clearly against the healthcare bill?

because the quote said "healthcare dead"

that is not entirely true, as most people are against this h/c bill....if you went back to the drawing board as brown has said he supports, i think you could come up with a bill supported by more people....

Brown wants it to be a state by state issue. He doesn't want national healthcare.

i messed up, the title of the AP report does not truly reflect frank's exact quote....

still fear mongering as health care is far from dead if brown gets elected

i said not entirely true, as he supports A h/c bill, not this piece of crap....

they are fear mongering by making it seem as if his election will kill ANY healthcare bill

Barney specifically referenced "the health bill," not "any health bill."

And what healthcare bill does he support? He keeps repeating the "back to the drawing board" line as nauseum but he hasn't yet described what he actually wants in a healthcare bill, just like the Republicans in Washington D.C. now.

Lawmaker: If GOP wins seat, health care dead

_____

actually not entirely true, brown simply wants to go back to the drawing board, he in fact supports a healthcare bill, just not this piece of garbage do nothing bill

Yurt, you know as well as I do that if we "go back to the drawing board" there will be no bill.

It's not fearmongering, it's fact. It's political reality, and Brown is just showing how much of a cynical lying douchebag he is by pretending what he's saying is even an option.

I think Frank is right.... If Brown can pull off the win, the bill is dead (unless they somehow get it passed before Brown is confirmed).

Brown says he wants to go back to the drawing board, but at this point... with elections in November... that is not likely going to happen. With the amount of time THIS version took, I doubt they try to bring up a new health care bill with the public focused so heavily on JOBS.

i don't know that. iirc when the bill was actually looking good, the majority of the people polled supported it. i think people want h/c....but this bill is nothing but smoke and mirrors and something to be passed just to soothe obammy's ego...

i do understand that you entirely could be right, i just think if we did go back, had more openess as promised by obama and the dems, support for an improved h/c bill will succeed. don't forget, i supported the earlier versions

i know, post 9 :(

Oh gee Onesie. I don't know. Why don't you cast your pearls of wisdom our way and help us figger it out?

I think you just like saying "Onesie."

I think we've already figured it out; Frank was talking about this bill, and it is in fact likely dead if Brown wins.

Nothing to see here....

And what's the difference between this and earlier versions?

The key components have always been eliminating discrimination against pre-existing conditions + mandates + subsidies. Everything else is superflous.

try the public option or at least expanding medical/care....that is for starters....if all this is about just preexisting cond, mandates, subsidies, it doesn't need to billions of pages long, i think you're oversimplifying it

all this bill does is give a huge boon the ins. co's

obama still doesn't have a clue how it is going to be funded, he just got strong armed by the unions to leave out his tax idea
